as u said you are a hindi medium student,u should stick with hindi atleast, other than that u can go for socialogy as it's your subject and luckily is among your options for IAS.

* You are in BA 2nd year and you subject are history and sociology.

* You can take sociology and history as your subject in CSE as it helps you in preparation.

* Both the subjects are theorotical and you are familiar with these subjects.

* Many of candidates select sociology and history for CSE preparation.

* Besides this you are a hindi medium and the study material coachings are easily available in hindi medium of both these subjects.

* So do hard work with these subjects and you will succeed. All The Best

you can choose history,sociology as you are studying them in graduation.medium does not affect your result only writing caliber decides yiur success.

Hello,
If you want to choose arts subjects then it is more easy for you to prepare for the examination. You can choose History, Sociology or Political Science, Psychology etc.
Sociology and History is easy to read and you have to answer it in your own words. But you have good writing skills.

You have to download old question papers for pattern of examination from www.upsc.gov.in
