    Well friend as you are a electronics and instrumentation engineering student,then you are not eligible to apply for ies exam.ies exam is conducted by upsc for the recruitment of candidates in the government engineering post.
    ELIGIBILITY:

    Eligibility for UPSC Indian Engineering Service Examination 2013

    Candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in Engineering in any one of the following disciplines :

    Civil Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics and Telecommunication
    Mechanical Engineering

    Or Should have passed Section A and B of the Institution Examination of the Institute of Engineers India

    Or Should have passed graduate membership examination of the institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers

    Or Passed Associate membership examination Section A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India

    Or Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers London

    Required qualification for IES exam

    You must be graduate with BE or B. Tech from recognized university

    You must have one of following branch in technical degree

    Civil

    Mechanical

    Electrical

    Electronics and Telecommunication

    Your age should be 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC as per government norms.

    You must be Indian.

    Any engineer is eligible to appear for IES for this the candidate have to appear under the any of the 4 categories
    1)Civil Engineering
    2) MEchanical Engineering
    3) Electrical Engineering

    Hello friend,
    There is no such examination is conducted by UPSC particularly which suits this department but yes you ca give IES examination but you have to give this examination in the subject of Electronics and telecommunication engineering.

    EDUCATIONAL ELIGIBILITY:

    *Candidates must pass the Engineering and must have a Engineering degree from any recognized university or organization.
    *There is no such marks needed for applying this examination.


    AGE LIMIT:

    Candidates must attain the age of 21 and must not attain the age of 32 years as on 1st august in the year of examination.

    STREAMS:

    *CIVIL ENGINEERING
    *MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
    *ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
    *ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION

    Yes,absolutely can apply for IES in Electronics & Telecommunication field.I myself am from E&I and I already sat for IES once.SO give it a go bussy.Good Luck!

    my friend, you really eligible for upsc ies exams.for this exam electronics and communication grdduated students can apply .but there is age limit .age of candidate is not less than 21 and not more than 30.those candidate between this can apply for upsc exams. for more visit www.upsc.gov.inALL THE BEST!

    yes, electronics&instrumentation engineer applicable for IES. They have to register with either electronics&communication or Electrical engineering because there subjects are almost similar....

    yes,electronics&instrumentation engineer applicable for IES exam.students with graduation degree of electronics n comunication engineering, electrical engg.,civil and mechanical engg. are permitted to appear for IES exam.
