You can answer UPSC Civil Services Mains and Personality Test i.e. Interview in Marathi medium.(the question paper wll be in english or hindi only.)
But Prelim has only 2 lang options English and Hindi.(No Marathi)

Upsc is conducting the civil services exam

Every year for the posts like IAS And Ips officer

And civil services exam is one of the most difficult test of the country

So you have to work very much hard for the civil services exam

And the answer for your questions

That can you give the exam in marathi ?

And the answer is no my friend

You cannot give the civil services exam in marathi

As their is only two language subjects as you know English and Hindi

You can choose any of one subject between above these

Sorry,Civil services conducted by Union Public Service commission in either English and Hindi languages only.Because selected candidate must survive through out the country.

If you qualify in Preliminary and Mains examination , you have the option to all eight papers , without yje qualifying examination of English,in Marathi.

But also you can attend interview in Marathi, if you are qualified in Preliminary and mains examination.

You have another option that You are also eligible for the exams conducted by Maharashtra Public service commission by your degree.

let me first tell you that

there is no exam called upsc exam

upsc is a body that conduct various exam for sector like defense railways and police etc

the secondly let me tell you that you can give these exams in marathi language

the exam is conducted in three phases such as:-

**preliminary

**mains

**interviews

in the first phase that is preliminary you have to appear this in english or hindi

in the second phase you may write all the papers excluding english in marathi language

and in the third phase you can attend it in marathi language

so have a strong knowledge on english as well as hindi and marathi also

let me clear you one thing that there is no any exam named upsc examination.

upsc in a govt. department or called a commission which conducts the examination for govt.sectors.


but if you are talking about civil services examination than my answer of your question is NO

you are not permitted to give the examination in marathi language .

you have only two choices either Hindi or English in all upsc examinations .

you can't give the UPSC exams in Marathi. in UPSC you have to give the exam in Hindi or English. but in mains Exam you can choose Marathi as optional Subject.

You can not give UPCS in Marathi but every state also conduct civil services exam
and also Maharastra Gov. conduct it. And in that examination you can apply with
Marathi language.

UPSC is conducted for Hindi and English only. So you can apply for this with this two
language only. In Maharashtra This examination is known as MPCS that means
Maharashtra Public Service Exam. This is the examination under Maharashtra and you
can go for it with Marathi.

But you also need good knowledge in english. because there is a paper of english language.
and you need to clear that paper also. I am giving the details of the papers below:-

1) English (100 Marks) � Descriptive type questions
2) Marathi (100 Marks) � Descriptive type questions
3) General Studies Paper I (150 Marks) � Objective type questions (MCQs) � 2 hours
4) General Studies Paper II (150 Marks) � Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
5) General Studies Paper III (150 Marks) � Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
6) General Studies Paper IV (150 Marks) � Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
