Dear Please see the Criteria for IFS (Indian Forest Service) Exam Age Limits: For General Candidate 21-30 year For OBC Candidate 21-33 year For SC/ST Candidate 21-35 year Educational Qualification:Candidate must be Graduate any recognized university with at least one of the subject namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology OR Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry OR Degree in Engineering of any of University Examination Patterns: Paper-I General English 300 marks Paper-II General Knowledge 300 marks Paper-III,IV, V, & VI any two subject to be selected from the lost of the optional subject each paper have two paper 200 marks for each paper 2. To apply for this examination , you should have a completed your graduate degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification OR final year of degree may also eligible to apply for this examination . Eligibility criteria and Important Dates of examination for the same? if you satisfy the age criterion for appearing in the exam, i.e., maximum 30 yrs. for GEN, 33 yrs. for OBC, and 35 yrs. for SC/ST, then you're certainly eligible to apply for the exam for the post of IFS. but you can apply for the same, in the year 2013 as there are no posts available for your stream now. the sale of application forms/registration(applying offline/online, respectively) starts/closes in feb/march period and the examination is held in the months of may/june. all the best.

I think you can apply for some posts in this exam though the vacancies will be very very marginal compared to the general sciences subjects.Still keep a check on the notifications and eligibility criteria that are coming out.Good Luck!

As you are in 3rd year you can not apply for IFS exam now. ELIGIBILITY:- -Candidates who have completed their graduation can apply for this exam. -To apply for this examination you Must have a Bachelor�s degree form a recognised University with at least one of the subjects like Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. So, you first complete your Engineering to appear in IFS exam. - Your age should be between 21-30 years. - For OBC- relaxation of age is 3 years & for SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation.
