    dear aspirant,

    UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam every year for the post of IAS,IPS, IRS etc. For Civil Services exam you need graduation in an stream with any percentage from recognized college or university.

    Tips For Preparation:

    • first and most important Manage your Time table and maintain your self calm and Cool.
    • go ahead according to UPSC Syllabus.
    • you can start for UPSC by study 6th to 12th NCERT books.
    • increase your general knowledge, continuous reading news papers and magazines, concentrate on English.
    • solving Previous year question papers is most requisite part of preparation.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:


    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit

    CSAT(Prelims):

    date of Notification:05.03.2013

    last date of receipt of application:04.04.2013

    date of exam:26.05.2013



    Mains:

    *study your optional subjects deeply according to the syllabus prescribed by upsc
    *see the previous year question papers of ias exam
    *make proper time table and plan to tackle the exam
    *study with full focus and dedication
    *join a good coaching institute
    *study magazines and daily

    The Union Public Service Commission conducts number of examinations and being a graduate in Business Administration, you may apply for the following:

    Civil Service Exam - (Age Limit- 21-30 years)
    Central Police Force Exam - (Age Limit- 20-25 years)
    Combined Defense Service Exam (For Indian Army) - (Age Limit- 19-24 years)

    As you have mentioned that you had the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Maths in the +2 level, you will be also considered eligible for Indian Air Force through the Combined Defense Service Exam. The age limit for Indian Air Force is 19-23 years.

    So, if you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you can definitely write any of the examinations mentioned above.

    Of-course you can do the preparation for IAS/IPS examination. If you want to take commerce in UPSC Mains exam then you can take.

    But I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.

    After that you have to go for the Question Pattern of Exam so you should download and print Previous Years Question Papers from www.upsc.gov.in

    Model Test Papers and Sample Papers are most important for Practice.
