Yes my dear, BDS candidate can appear in UPSC civil services exam for the post of medical officer/IAS/IPS/IFS. Yes BDS paper is also available in MAIN exam.

BDS paper is not the paper in UPSC main exam.

The Required qualification for UPSC exam is
A bachelor degree
age limit 21 to 30 year
candidate should be an Indian citizen

YOU CAN APPEAR IN THE FINAL YEAR ALSO.

ELIGIBILITY:-

Citizenship:-
- YOU MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAM.
Educational Qualification:-
- YOU MUST BE A GRADUATE DEGREE HOLDER .
- A CANDIDATE WHO HAS COMPLETED HIS/HER GRADUATION FROM TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL COURSE CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE EXAM.
- A FINAL YEAR CANDIDATE IS ALSO ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.
- ONLY PASSING MARK IS REQUIRED TO APPLY IN THE EXAM.
Age limit:-
- YOUR AGE SHOULD NOT BE LESS THAN 21 YEARS & NOT EXCEED 30 YEARS.
- UPPER AGE RELAXATION IS GIVEN TO SC/ST, O.B.C CANDIDATES.
- FOR SC / ST - 5 YEARS OF RELAXATION, AGE LIMIT IS 21-35 YEARS.
- FOR O.B.C. - 3 YEARS OF RELAXATION, AGE LIMIT IS 21-33 YEARS.
Physically fit:-
- A CANDIDATE SHOULD BE PHYSICALLY FIT.
Number of attempts:-
- NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS OF OPEN CATEGORY IS 4
- FOR O.B.C. IS 7.
- UNLIMITED FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES.

EXAM PATTERN:-

EXAM CONSISTS 3 STAGES.

1)PRELIMINARY EXAM
2)MAIN EXAM
3)INTERVIEW

NO, THERE IS NO SUCH BDS PAPER IN CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.
THERE ARE 9 PAPERS IN MAIN EXAMINATION.
EACH PAPER HAVING TIME DURATION 180 MINUTES.

Dear aspirant,
You are surely eligible for the Civil Service exams but sorry,as there is no subject as BDS in the list of optional subjects of these exam.You will have to opt for some other subject.

The eligibility criteria for these exams lies as below :
-YOU MUST BE A CITIZEN OF INDIA,
OR,A SUBJECT OF NEPAL OR BHUTAN,
OR,A TIBETAN REFUGEE SETTLED IN INDIA BEFORE INDEPENDENCE.
-YOU MUST BE BETWEEN 21-30 YEARS OF AGE,IF OF GENERAL CATEGORY.
THE UPPER LIMIT IS RELAXABLE BY 5 YEARS FOR SC/STs AND 3YEARS FOR OBCs.
-YOU MUST HOLD A DEGREE OF GRADUATION OR EQUIVALENT,FROM AN UGC RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY OR BE A FINAL YEAR STUDENT IN THE SAME.

So you can apply in your final year or after completion of course but with different subject combinations.

yes a BDS candidate can apply for Civil services exam but BDS paper is not included in UPSC main exam
