Gazetted officer is a higher level ranked public servant and authority for a gazetted officer to stamp comes from president of India or governor of states or union territories.

To become a gazetted officer you would be crack Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC

Your age should be between 21-30 years Relaxation for OBC 3 years and SC/ST 5 years

Your have Graduation degree any stream from any recognized university.

Written Test (Preliminary and Mains)
Interview

Attempts

For General Category 4
For OBC Category 7
For SC/ST Category No Limits

if you want to become a Gazetted officer then you should have to clear IAS EXAM.


SEE IAS ELIGIBILITY:-

>> you should have to passed graduation /final year appearing in any stream from the recognized university.

>> you must be an INDIAN.

>> age should be 21 to 30 years.

>> age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.



if you have these eligibility then you can apply for IAS EXAM.

Hi

Gazetted officer means an officer whose name appears in the official Gazette published by the Government.

e.g. Judicial Magistrates, IAS or PCS officers etc.

its mandatory to do govt. job to be a Gazetted Officer.

Gazetted officer(rajpatrit adhikari) have special previllages and powers.The term Gazetted is a status symbol and makes them recognizable all over India.

Only, officials of Indian government are recognized as gazetted officers.
All central & state Government employees falling under class 1 category are Gazetted Officers i.e officers such as IAS, IPS, Senior Auditors, Doctors, Managers (government sector company) etc.
