SSB stands for Service selection board.

If you have cleared the written test then you will be called for the SSB .It comprises of the

>>Screening test

>>Situation reaction test

>>Personal interview.


>>medical examinations.


>>It is generally of five days .


The eligibility criteria for medical examinations for different wing of defence are as folllows:

important things for SSB medicals are:-

1. No wax in the ears.
2. No skin diseases.
3. Minimum 14 dental points.
4. No vision defect.
5. No hernia operation for the past one year.
6. No hydrocele.
7. No flat foot
8. No knock knees

The series of tests conducted in SSB are as follows :-

1. Blood Test
2. Urine Test
3. Dental Check up
4. Chest Xray + Spleen Xray
5. Eye check up
6. Ear check up
7. Throat and Nose check up
8. Surgical check up
9. External check up
10. BMI check up
11. Heart and gastroenterologist check up

Min. physical standards required:
Height � Male 165 cm
Female 150 cm
Eye sight � 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye
Presence of Squint is a disqualification
Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity.
Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.
