dear friend b.pharm or life sciences students are eligible for ota only ,short service,so they need to pre pare for english and general awareness.

CDS : Combined Defense Service Examination.

And this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year, and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course form a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

Those who are Interested in CDS Examination, may apply for these Academy :

>> IMA
>> OTA
>> Naval Academy
>> Air Force Academy.

For IMA/OTA : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University.

For Naval and Air Force Academy : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in Engineering or B.sc With Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects.

Age Eligiblity Criteria :

>> IMA : Your age should between 19 to 24 Years
>> OTA : Your age should between 19 to 25 Years
>> Naval Academy : Your age should between 19 to 22 years
>> Air Force Academy : Your age should between 19 to 23 Years.

About Notification :

The Notification of CDS (I) 2012 Examination was already Updated in the official website and the Online Registration Process was already Started and If you are Interested in CDS Examination then please Fill the application form Soon before the last date.

You can Only fill the application form Online Because no Other mode of application form Should be Accepted, and you have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or Pay the fees directly in SBI Bank.

The last date of apply for CDS Examination : 28/Nov/2011.

Examination date of CDS : 12/Feb/2012.

Hi dear, the CDS syllabus is declared by the UPSC is:-
English, General Knowledge, Mathematics.

in CDS the syllabus is: Elimentry English, General Knowledge, Mathematics. maths asked in this exam is of matriculation level, like algebra, statistics, trignometry, geometry etc.
syllabus does not change according to the courses u have done graduate in.
