Hello, Eligibility to become an IPS officer:- Should be graduate from recognized university. Age should be 21-30 yrs. Must be citizen of India. Should be physically fit. Note:- dear if you try this post in future you can handle district whre you live n all authority will at your hand of that district that's why you should try this post to become an IPS officer.

Hi friends, Eligibility for IPS are:--------------- -Age limit Minimum 21 years & Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. -Educational Qualification----------------------- Graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India. Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear. -Number of Attempts-------------------------- 4 attempts for open, 7 for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. -Minimum Physical Standard-------------------- Height � Male 165 cm Female 150 cm Eye sight � 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test. Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking. IPS is an exam conducted by UPSC every year. Eligibility: Educational Qualification: The aspirant have posses a bachelor degree in any recognized University of India or any equivalent. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear the exam. Age: For general Minimum age 21 year & maximum is 30 year at the time of examination. The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 year for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST. The upper age limit is also in favour of Defence service personnels. Other eligibility: The candidate should be a citizen of India. Physical Fitness: Height-165cm for men & 160cm for only ST men. 150cm for women & 145cm for ST women. chest-84cm for men (expansion 5cm) 79cm for women(expansion 5cm) distant vision for good eye-6/6 or 6/9. Near vision for good eye j 1. Ear-Good listening with normal ear cavity. Nasal-candidate should not stammer while speaking. These are the minimum eigibility required to become an IPS officer. The IPS exam is one of the most prestigious exam conducted by UPSC.The IPS officer mainly take care of the law&order,crime detection& prevention,traffic control,accident prevention & management etc.This is a very prestigious job for today's generation. Dear Aspirant To become an IPS Officer, you need to appear in Civil Service Exam(CSE) conducted by UPSC once in a year generally in the month of May. IPS:- Indian Police Service To appear in civil service exam, you have to complete Graduation degree course in any specialization from recognized university. There is no restriction on percentage of marks. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to appear in this exam. To appear in this exam your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. 3 years relaxation for st/sc & 5 years for obc candidates in upper age limit. Both male & female candidates are eligible to appear in this exam. Only Indian citizens are allowed to appear in this exam. This examination is conducted by U.P.S.C for the recruitment of candidates into the Indian police service. Eligibility: Educational Qualifications : Bachelor�s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: Age limit is 21-30 years. For SC/ST & O.B.C. candidates upper age relaxation is available. For SC/ST candidates 5 years of relaxation i.e. 21-35 years. For O.B.C candidates 3 years of relaxation i.e. 21-33 years. Number of Attempts Four attempts for open category seven attempts for O.B.C. candidates No limit of attempts for SC/ST. There is no IPS entrance exam, to become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer you have to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. Eligibility Criteria For Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years of age which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. There is certain prescribed Physical Fitness test for those applying for IPS. The height of the General male candidate should be at least 165cm and for female 150cm and for SC/ST/OBC male candidate it should be 160cm and for female it should be at least 145cm. The chest for male candidate should be at least 84cm and that of female should be 79cm expendable to 5cm for both the cases. Why should I try to become an IPS exam? for becoming an IPS officer: 21yrs must be complete, maximum 30yrs for general, 33 for obc, 35 for sc/st, 10 yrs age relaxation for pwds must be a graduate height for males: 165cm females:150cm one should not stammer while speaking eye sight: 6/6 they should have a good stamina as they have to run for 10kms in 60 mins and route march of 25kms
