    Hello Friend,
    IAs,IPS,IRS,IFS & others aret he civil service exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
    The exams are consist of 3 stages like:
    1.preliminary exam :
    The preliminary exam based on 2 compulsory papers of 200 marks each.The questions are of objective type.
    2.Main exam (written):
    candidates are allow to choose 2 optional subject from the following subject:
    Agricultural,animal husbandry,veterinary science,anthropology,Physics,chemistry,Botany,zool ogy,Mathematics,sociology,psychology,statistics,li terature,political science,public administration,philosophy,economics,international relationship,geography,geology,history,electrical engineering,mechanical engineering,civil engineering,commerce & accountancy,law,Management etc.
    You have done Master degree in Business Administration.you are a management student.so,you have a good knowledge in management subjects.so,it is a right dicision to select the management subject as a optional subject in civil service exam.
    Economics,public Administration,Mathematics are also a good optional subject for you but the choice is yours.

    Selection of the optional subject is depends on candidate's interest.

    So you should also select subject according to your interest. You should decide that in which subject your grip is best.

    DEAR FRIEND I THINK YOUR DECISION IS PERFECT AS YOUR CHOICE IS CIVIL SERVICES THAN IN MBA YOUR SUBJECT MANAGEMENT WILL ACT ACCORDINGLY.NOW WHAT ARE TO DO TO JOIN IN CSE CONDUCTED BY UPSC.

    ELIGIBILITY-A GRADUATE OR FINAL YEAR CANDIDATE FROM A RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY IN ANY DISCIPLINE CAN WRITE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION.THIS CSE IS CINDUCTED BY UPSC TWICE IN A YEAR.

    AGE MUST BE WITHIN 21 YEARS TO 30 YEARS.

    MUST BE THE INDIAN CITIGEN

    REGARDING AGE RELAXATION -THERE FOR OBC CANDIDATES 3 YEARS.AND S/C S/T 5 YEARS.

    ATTEMPTS-TO CLEAR CSE PRELIMINARY/MAIN /INTERVIEW TESTS A GEN.CANDIDATE CAN AVAIL 4 CHANCES.
    FOR OBC CANDIDATES 7 ATTEMPTS AND FOR S/C S/T CANDIDATES HAVE NO LIMIT.

    Hello dear,
    You have completed MBA if you have the good command in management subject
    like Finance ,Marketing and Mathematics etc. so you can choose the management subject in optional
    because you have studies all these subject in in your MBA session and gain the help of past study.

    According to your qualification you took the public administration subject as the optional subject.
    Public administration subject is like as the management subject
    50-60% syllabus of the management is covered in the public administration subject.
    So you took the one subject as the public administration and other second subject took from the following subject list
    Agriculture
    Management
    Animal Husbandry & Vet nary
    Science
    Mathematics
    Anthropology
    Mechanical Engineering
    Botany
    Medical Science
    Chemistry
    Philosophy
    Civil Engineering
    Physics
    Commerce & Accountancy
    Political Science &
    International Relations
    Economics
    Psychology
    Electrical Engineering
    Public Administration
    Geography
    Sociology
    Geology
    Statistics
    Indian History
    Zoology
    Any language subject
    Following subject do not took together
    Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration
    Commerce and Management
    Anthropology and Sociology
    Maths and Statistics
    Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Management and Public Administration
    Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science
    Any two branches of engineering

    I have done MBA (HR). Is it a right decision to select Management as one of the optional subjects in civil services?

    I have done MBA(H.R) and i am interested in civil services , so should i go with management as one of my optional because i think that i am know to the subject not at to the mark but about 70%, and i think it would be helpful as it is already studied rather than going with a new subjects which is not know and which i will have to study from the basics so kindly plz guide me.
