dear both these subjects are good for civil services exam conducted by upsc

civil services exam will require a lot of hard work and dedication apart form your subjects ,either you take science or humanities .both subject will make you eligible for the upsc civil services exam.
what ever your selection is you have study really hard in order to get something good out of the civil services exam.

science will increase your options for jobs. you can apply for different medical as well as technical jobs taking science as your subjects.

Hi Buddy i you have just passed 10th exam so i just want to clear some picture for you that studies after 10th are really different because that's the time when you are supposed to be innovative and mature. So i will suggest you not to go for your intuitions ad listen what elders have to say because in this competitive world you should prefer a safe journey to your goal . So i will advice you to take science because you will appear for IAS after around 5-6 years from now.

Dont totally depend on these exams, the competition for these high positions are huge, My advise is first THINK ABOUT A PROPER CAREER PATH AND YOU CAN CRACK THESE EXAMS from there.

Choosing Biology will be very useful than Humanity, but both are of same importance, see which one you like most, when it comes to studies always choose the one you like.

Dont choose the easy one, think about the one you want to study, Choose the subject in such a way that even if you dont clear these exams, that should help you to make a career out of it.

Dear candidate
there is no need of worry. just choose you carrier or field in which you want to go if you want to go for an IAS officer you must be a graduate degree holder.
if you want to go for defense sector you have to go for medical stream. in defence if you want to apply for naval academy choose medical or if you want to apply for NDA you must have Physices , chemistry and math in HSC.
for IES exam of civil service you have to go through an engineer degree.


So choose your field carefully and then go for it.

YOU CAN COMPLETE YOUR GRADUATION FROM ANY DISCIPLINE OR WITH ANY SUBJECT.

ELIGIBILITY:-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
- You must have completed your graduation degree from recognized university.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation from professional/technical courses can also apply for this test.
- Final year students are also eligible to apply.
- Only passing mark in graduation is required.

AGE LIMIT:-
Minimum age required is 21 years.
Candidate should not attain the age of 30 years.
There is also relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST, O.B.C candidates
For SC/ST- 5 years of age relaxation, i.e. age limit- 21-35 years.
For O.B.C-3 years of age relaxation, i.e. age limit- 21-33 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:-
Number of attempts for general category is 4
Number of attempts for SC/ST- Unlimited
Number of attempts for O.B.C- 7

The candidate must be Indian.
The candidate must be physically fit.

Don't confuse yourself by thinking of these. You, firstly, decide of your career very carefully. I think the career must be that one in which you are interested so much. And if you are interested in IAS, then there is no matter of confusing on science and humanities. Because both are equally important. i am in 1oth and good in studies.i want to appear in civil services and take up the same as my career.please tell me that should i opt for science or humanities in 11th as my mother is afraid that if i am not selected in ias or other civil services then what would i do next if i choose humanities in 11th wheareas she thinks that if i would take science write now i can appear in medical and then go for civil services.
