to join CPF as an assistant commandant you have to apply for the upsc CPF EXAM.
for which you can apply either by filling its form for this exam and sending it by post to upsc.
or you can fill the application form of this exam online www.upsconline.nic.in.

the main eligibility for this exam are
#graduation from a recognized university under ugc
#age between 21-25 years

sc/st and obc aspirants gets an age relaxation of 5 and 3 years respectively.

physical standards required:
for MALES
height- 165 cm.
chest- 81 cm.
Weight according to height

for FEMALES
height-157 cm.
Weight acc.to height(but not less than 46 kg)

Dear Candidate,
-The CPF ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS Exams are conducted every year by the UPSC.
-The registrations for this exams takes place in JULY.
-The exams are conducted in the month of NOVEMBER.
-The duration of the exams is 2 hours.

Eligibility Criteria :
-You must be a citizen of India.
-You must be of 20-25 years of age.The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for reservation quotas.
-You must be a graduate with any stream from an UGC recognized university.
-You must meet the physical and medical standards of this exams.

Appearing for this exam and Qualifying it is the only procedure to join the CPF ASSISTANT COMMANDANT Posts.

education qualification

graduation in any stream or a final year result awaiting candidate

if you have ncc b or ncc c certificate it will help you for selection.


age limit


the age of candidate should between 19 to 25 years


for general cast 19 to 25 year
for obc 19 to 28 year
for sc & st 19 to 30 years


physical standard for male candidates

height 165 cm.
Weight according to height
chest 81 cm.



for female physical standard


height 157 cm.

pattern of written exams

part 1

gk, reasoning, numerical ability 200 marks




part 2 =100 marks

essay writing, comprehension of given passage, and precise writing.



After written test their is a physical efficiency test and interview is conducted.
