if you are going to apply for UPSC exam do not ask anyone which subject will be good for you just have to take that one in which you can do well and your basics are good.. only that subject can help you in scoring good marks.. All the best..

First of all I have to tell you that the minimum qualification for UPSC exam is Graduation. You need not wait for Master's Degree.

Both MCA and M.SC. IT are Master's Degree. M.Sc. IT is more theoretical and MCA is applied computer application. If you want to go for Technical Job you have to do MCA or if you only have to show your computer Knowledge and go for Management Job then you should do M.SC. IT

You can also come to Administrative Jobs like DC Deputy Collector or DM deputy Magistrate and for IPS you can get Superintendent Of Police i.e. SP etc.

You have to crack the exam of IAS/IPS for it. you can apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in

There are no any separate subject for Computer Science.

So, I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.

There are two types of written examination in UPSC.

UPSC Prelim exam and UPSC Mains exam. You will appear in UPSC Prelim exam first in which Objective type Questions are asked from General English, General Studies etc.

For UPSC Mains you have to choose Subjects. There are total 51 Optional Subjects in which 23 are from main subjects and 28 Language Subjects like Hindi, English, Bengali etc.

Which Course is better between MSC.IT and MCA? Which one between these two will help me to crack UPSC exam?

I am currently pursuing S.Y.BSC.IT from k j somaiya. I would like to known about the various options available to me after graduation.I am planning to pursue MCA with correspondence but i am completely confused whether to have MCA or MSC.IT
and i am much interested for MBA with system after MCA or MSC.IT.
I just want to clear my mind as to which field should i do MCA or MSC.IT for good salary.I also want to crack UPSC exam so which one between these two will help me to easily crack the upsc exam.
