Dear, as a SC disabled candidate you can apply up to the age of 45 yrs. and there is no limitation for no. of attempts for SC disabled candidates. So, don't be panic or don't worry about your age. But work hard for the same, because its a competition where Lacs of candidates appear every year...Good Luck...

-The Age limit prescribed by UPSC for Civil Services Exams is between 21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of Examination.

The Upper age limit prescribed is relaxable :

1)upto a maximum of Five years for SC/ST candidates
2)upto a maximum of Ten years in the case of blind,deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped persons

You will get the benefit of cummulative age relaxation i.e.21-40yrs will be your age limit.

-The SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of anyFees for the exams.

So,you will have to make no fee payment.

    -The no. of attempts are
restricted to 4 times for general category,7 times for OBC and SC/ST

    candidates have Unlimited attempts.
So,you can keep applying until you meet the age limit in your case.

As you are a SC cast candidates and moreover you are physically disabled so that you have to get below age relaxation in UPSC exam .

You should allow to give the exam between the age limit of 21-40 years .

As you are in the SC cast so that you are allowed to give any number of attempts for the exam , there are no constraint for you .

But you have to complete at least graduation from any recognized university in any stream .

So you will give maximum 20 times the UPSC exam so try your best so that you will crack the exam in fewer number of attempts .

    good luck

Being an Scheduled Caste Category Candidate you can avail the age relaxation benefit as per the rules and regulations of UPSC.
Normally age limit is between 21 to 30 Years of Age for General Category Candidate to apply for UPSC Exam.
Age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates.
Since you are SC candidate you will be given relaxation in age of 5 Years.
That means you can apply till the age of 35 Years.
But One thing remember that you should have necessary documents to consider yourself under SC Category.
For Disability criteria you should read the notice of examination to know the exact information.
    Hope it guides you well.
    Feel free to write back.
    All the best.
    Regards.

Re: What age concession will I get in UPSC exam, being an SC disabled candidate?

    dear friend,

UPSC has provided the age relaxation for Reserved category candidates, Central Government employs and Physical disabled candidates.

as you said you are from SC category and you are also disabled. So you can get the relaxation in upper age limit in two aspects.

    1) 5 years of relaxation in upper age limit for SC category.
    2) 5 years of relaxation in upper age limit for Physically disabled.

So you have total 10 years of relaxation in upper age limit. and for SC/ST there is no limit of limit number of attempts.

    Age Limit for you:

    21 years to 40 years.

you can apply for UPSC exams online on following link:

    dear aspirant,
upsc provide age relaxation to those candidates who belongs to OBC and SC/ST category,
also those who are disabled they also gets age relaxation from upsc,

dear aspirant as you belongs to SC and also you are disabled also,

    Hello,

If you are SC/ST candidate then there is no age for that candidates. You can fill the form when you want.

NO. OF ATTEMPTS FOR THE UPSC EXAMINATION IS Civil Service Examination - General-4, OBC-7, SC/ST- No restriction i.e. IF YOU ARE COMING IN GENERAL CATEGORY THEN YOU HAVE TO ATTEMPT 4 TIMES UPSC EXAM.

AND IF YOU ARE COMING IN OBC CANDIDATE THEN YOU CAN ATTEMPT UPSC EXAM 7 TIMES.

AND IF YOU ARE COMING IN ST/SC CANDIDATE THEN YOU HAVE TO RESTRICTION IN EXAM i.e. YOU CAN ATTEMPT UPSC MANY TIMES WHEN YOU WANT.

    Wish you all the best,
