yes, UPSC also Recruit Education Officer also. and UPSC recruits Education officer directly.
Exam is held on 29,April,2012. at Delhi.
Time- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

exam would be of two hours long. and it would be of Objective Type with Negative Marking and it would be 1/3.

Dear Applicant,

UPSC will conduct the Recruitment test for filling up the post of Education Officer on 29 April 2012 from 2PM to 4PM at Delhi.
The written test will be of 2 hours and medium of Question Paper will be in both Hindi and English. Test will be objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a max marks of 100. There will be penalty for wrong answers means negative marking of 1/3 will be there.
General Knowledge including Social Economic and Cultural Issues Hindi and English Language skills, Reasoning ability and quantitative aptitude, Educational Policies and Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Management and Financial Administration, Office Procedure .
The respective weightage of the recruitment test and interviews shall be decided by the UPSC for the selection of deserved candidates in the Education Officer / Assistant Director of Education Post.
