Dear for your kind information that IFS - Indian Foreign Service comes under the civil services and UPSC conduct the civil services examination once in a year in two sections which are - prelims and mains examination and all successful candidates in written examination gets the call letter for interview process and if the candidates gets qualified in the interview then they will get the post of IAS and for the details about IFS
IFS Selection Procedure - If you get qualified in the civil service examination in both prelims and mains then you qualify the interview process also and comes under - Top 50 rankers of IAS examination then you would become a Indian Foreign Service Officer because UPSC declare those candidates for IFS post through civil service who comes under 50 in the examination
If you wants to become IFS Officer then you need to secure more and more marks in the mains examination of civil services and qualify the interview process and try to come under 50 and you would also become the IFS officer in India and you should have following eligibility criteria for civil service examination
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination
Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
