The Educational Qualification for the UPSC is a candidate must hold a degree of

any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India

and the Age limit is 21 years minimum and maximum 29 years

UPSC does not specify the stream of studies to sit for the Civil Services Exam.

A candidate can come from any stream such as Science, Arts, Commerce etc.

UPSC will announce the dates for upcoming Civil Services Exams and UPSC will announce the complete notification advertisement for this exam around March 2013 at the official website - www.upsc.gov.in and the preliminary exam may be conducted around May-2013 and then UPSC will announce the result after 2 months of the exam then candidates would apply for mains exam and mains exam would be conducted in October 2013 then the final result would be announced after sometime and candidates would be shortlisted for interview process.

If you want to apply for UPSC civil services then you should complete a degree or it's equivalent qualification from a recognized university and your age should be under 21-30 years means not more than 30 years but reserved category candidates will get relaxation in upper age as per 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Well mine friend, As you must be aware or not, i dont know but Last date to fill the form and reach by it's office for Civil services 2012 has long ago expired.

So, There you see, UPSC, stands for Union Public Service Commission.

So, for next form you need to wait until December or next year's January.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services :

this year the civil service preliminary exam is over, now you apply in the 2013. the notification of the exam in the month of the december/january.
the preliminary exam is held in the month of the may.
the mains exam is held in the month of the September/October.

The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.

Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means unlimited

the notification to apply for upsc civil services exam usually is released by upsc in the month of feb or march.
this year it was 5 march to apply for upsc civil services exam.

to become eligible for upsc civil services exam you have to be graduate form a recognized university in any steam with at least passing marks as there is no percentage bar to apply for this exam.
and your age should be 21 -30 years if your category is general, 21-33 if you are an obc aspirant and 12-35 years if you belong to sc/st category.
government employees can also apply for this exam.

this exam is divided into two parts preliminary exam and mains exam after which the candidates are called for an interview.
a good preparation in advance with strong determination ,along with a proper time table is the basic key to success.
please note that there are only 4 attempts for the general category aspirants and only 7 attempts for the obc.
please apply after a a good preparation for this exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION:-

- The students who have completed their graduation with any course like technical/ professional are eligible to apply for this examination.
- The only need is you must be a graduate degree holder with any discipline.
- Only passing mark is required for this exam.
- The candidates who have passed their graduation from technical courses must not have any pending backlogs.
- You must be Indian citizen.
- Your age limit should be 21-30 years.
- But in case of O.B.C. 3 years of relaxation & for SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation is available.

as upsc conduct many exams:
NDA
CDS
IES
civil service exam
eligibility criteria for these exams are different
age criteria 21-30
3 year age relaxatioin for obc condidates
and 5 year age relaxation for sc/st condidate
and in case of CDS exam the the date of birth range will be there in the advertisement.
in case of attempts general candidate can apply for 3times in civil service exam
and obc candidates can apply 5 times
and sc/st candidates can apply unlimited times

The UPSC Civil Service exams basically covers the three eligibility criterias :
*You must be a citizen of IndIa,
or,a subJect of Nepal or Bhutan,
or,a Tibetan refugee settled in India before independence.
*Your age must be between the age limit of 21-30yrs,,if General..
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 yrs for SC/STs and 3yrs for OBCs.
*Also you must hold a graduation degree or equivalent from an UGC recognized university,,or be a final year student in the same.

The main examination dates for UPSC Civil Service-
The forms are mainly out by January end and last till mid March.
This year,8th March was the last date for applying online and the preliminary exams are to be conducted on 20th may.
The mains exams follow in the months October-November.

Civil service exam exam conducted by UPSC.There is no marks criteria.Only graduate are applicable for you.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

AGE CRITERIA:

For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

you need to be very specific in your question to get the exact answer.

however for very important post/services like

• Indian Administrative Services
  
• Indian Foreign Services
  
• Indian Police Services

you need to be Graduated from Recognized University in Any Discipline.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 yrs (relaxation for sc/st/obc).

Hello,
If you have a Graduate Degree from any stream then you are fully eligible for IAS/IPS UPSC exams.

Age limit for this exams is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. if you appear in 2012 IES exam then you must have been born not earlier than 02 August 1982 and not later than 1 August of 1991.

You can fill the application form Online for IAS/IPS in the Month of February. Online form filling at www.upsc.gov.in

Eligibility criteria for UPSC Examinations:-


Nationality:-The candidate must be the citizen of India to apply for the Indian Administrative Service & Indian Police Service.

Firstly, i have to Informed you that, UPSC Civil services examination date was already Over and you cant filled for this examination Now.

The last date of apply for this examination Online was 05/March/2012

And the Preliminary examination will be held soon on 20/May/2012.

Those who cracked the Preliminary examination are eligible for Main examination.

So, If you are Interested in this examination then please apply for this examination Next year because for this year dates was already Over.

Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.

To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University

Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

There is no need to scored minimum percentage in your Graduation because any graduate passed candidates are eligible to apply for this examination.

But for this examination, your age should between 21 to 30 years, the Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

The Notification of Civil services examination will generally published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC Website in the month of February. Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only, No offline application form facility from this year.

Candidates can gets their admit card online only.
