    IES stands for the Indian Engineering services .Bachelor's degree in any discipline in engineering /technology from a recognized university is the minimum educational qualifications required for it.Final year engineering candidates can also apply for the exam.

    For conventional papers you need to select the subjects from the core branches of engineering that are civil,electrical,mechanical and electronics and communications

    The age limit is 21-30 years with upper age relaxed for the reserved category .The no of attempts is four for general and seven for obc and SC/ST candidates can attempts all the IES exams that fall within thier age limit.You must be an Indian citizen.
