Re: Am I applicable for UPSC exams after passing B.Sc with 46%?

    Hey there...

Yes you are certainly eligible to take the exam. UPSC does not have a cut-off as such for percentage at any educational level. So even though you have less percentage you can still sit for the exam.

    The requirements are that :

The candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university. Even final year pursuing graduates can apply.
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:

Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
State of Jammu & Kashmir : upto a maximum of five years.
Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years

    No of attempts allowed:
    1. General - 4 years
    2. OBC - 7 years
    3. SC/ST - no limit

More information can be availed at the official website which is www.onlineupsc.nic.in

Re: Am I applicable for UPSC exams after passing B.Sc with 46%?

    Dear,
The UPSC demands the essential qualification as passing the Bachelor degree at any recognized university in any discipline. There is no need of percentage of marks in your academic career. Any Graduate passed candidate of the recognized university may apply for it. But the age limit is 21-30years and the upper age limit is 03years for OBC and 05years for SC/ST candidates. Thanks....
