YES YOU CAN APPLY FOR AIRPORT CUSTOM OFFICER THROUGH UPSC CIVIL SERVICES.

UPSC civil services allows is the entry for many civil services in the government sector.
Now among them for custom officer ,the service is named as Indian Revenue Services(Custom and Central Excise).

While applying for the civil services,among the various services you will have to choose your choose.

You can become custom officer through SSC combined graduate level exam.

Prelims exam SSC combined graduate exam conducts once a year.

This exam is conducted by UPSC also.

Generally mains exam conducts October to December of each year.

Notification released generally in first week of April

Last date for submission generally in last week of April

Eligibility;-

-----You must be passed a bachelor degree from a recognized university with 55%.

----your age should be below 19 years .Age relaxation is given to reserved category students.


You must consist ability to work in flexible schedules

Must pass an extensive background check

Must posses a driving license

Must be able to activate telephone or radio

Should have never had drugs of any kind

UPSC conducts the Civil services exams to fill seats in 24 departments of the Government.

Through this exam posts are filled in departments like:
>> Indian Administrative Service.
>> Indian Foreign Service.
>> Indian Police Service.
>> Indian P & T Accounts & Finance Service, Group �A�.
>> Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Group �A�.
>> Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), Group �A�.
>> Indian Defence Accounts Service, Group �A�.
>> Indian Revenue Service (I.T.), Group �A�.

So, if you are able to get a seat in the Indian Revenue Service than only you can get the Customs Department
Also departments totally depends on the ranks that candidates gets in the final merit list



Other way to join the Customs departments is to apply for the SSC Combined Graduate Level exams
Minimum eligibilty is Graduation pass in any stream
Age should be between 18 to 27 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

SSC conducts this exams in 3 stages and if you clear all the three stages than based on the final rank in the merit list you may be alloted customs department
