Age relaxation is given to reserved category students. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category 5 Years for SC/ST category Number Of Attempts;- 4 times for General category Candidates 7 times for OBC candidates No limit for SC/ST category You can apply IAS next year. Therefore Start Preparation from now to crack this exam. Mains exam pattern change from this year. Civil services Preliminary exam consist two papers of General studies having 400 marks. 2 hours are given to each General studies papers. Civil services Mains exam pattern changed from this year. 2 General Studies Papers and 4 optional subjects papers (2 each) These 6 papers constitute 1800 marks (300 by 6) There is an Essay Paper and Personal Interview as well of 200 and 300 marks each, which amounts to 2300 marks An Indian Language paper, which is also a qualifier Comparison between Previous Year Mains exam pattern and 2013 Exam pattern;- Less subjects to choose from More papers to appear for under General Studies Constriction in language/ medium (to give the exam) English paper sub-divided into 2 sections (300 marks total) Reduction in total marks New paper on ethics, integrity and aptitude All the best..............

The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years, for SC/ST is 05 years. There is also 04 attempts for General, 07 attempts for OBC and up to 35 years for SC/ST candidates. Yes, If you have not lost your seven attempts till yet, then as per your date of birth, you have the last chance for next 2014 CSAT examination.
