DEAR, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE PERCENTAGE IN 12TH OR IN GRADUATION FOR APPEARING IN THE ENTRANCE EXAM FOR THE IAS OFFICER.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AN IAS OFFICER IS AS FOLLOWING:-


[1]-EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:-
THE ASPIRANTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE GRADUATION FROM A RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY AND THERE IS NO SUCH A PERCENTAGE LIMIT CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN THE ENTRANCE EXAM.

[2]-NO. OF ATTEMPT:-

(I)-FOR THE GENERAL CATEGORY NO. OF ATTEMPT ARE 4 FOR THE POST OF IAS OFFICER.

(II)-FOR THE CATEGORY OF OBC AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED ASPIRANTS THE NO. OF ATTEMPTS ARE 7 FOR THE POST OF IAS OFFICER .

(III)-FOR THE CATEGORY OF SC AND ST ASPIRANTS THERE IS NO LIMIT OF NO. OF ATTEMPTS.


[3]-AGE LIMIT CRITERIA-
(I)-FOR THE GENERAL CATEGORY THE AGE LIMIT IS 21 TO 30 YEARS FOR THE POST OF AN IAS OFFICER.

(II)- FOR THE OBC IT IS 21 TO 33 YEARS.

(III)- FOR THE SC AND ST THE AGE LIMIT CRITERIA IS 21 TO 35 YEARS.

THE RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE IS ALSO PROVIDED FOR THE SPECIAL CATEGORY OF THE ASPIRANTS LIKE DEFENSE OFFICERS.


SO, I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST YOU THAT DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE PERCENTAGE. AS YOU HAVE TARGETED THE IAS OFFICERS POST THEN FIRST COMPLETE THE 12th LEVEL STUDY AND THEN GRADUATION FROM ANY RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY. AND TRY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PREVIOUS QUESTION PAPER AND START THE PREPARATION FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMS.

Hello friend,
civil service exam is one of the most prestigious exam conducted by UPSC for recruitment to various All India Services. IAS is one of them.

Educational Qualification for IAS:
1. Graduation in any stream from a recognized University.
2.There is No percentage bar required to apply for the exam.

Age limit:
For General - 21 year to 30 year
For OBC - 21 year to 33 year
For SC/ST - 21 year to 35 year
Upper age limit is relaxed for defense services personnel & certain others.


Number of attempts:
For General - 4
For OBC/ Physical Handicapped - 7
For SC/ ST - No limitation on number of attempts


so, you need n't to worry about percentage of marks & clear your Graduation degree successfully to apply for the IAS entrance exam.

Your 12th marks will not be counted for Civil services whether you are topper or just pass.Your graduation degree is the main and only consideration for eligibility.You have to be a graduate and there is no marks condition for eligiblity.You need to have passing marks as minimum to be eligible.

for IAS you need graduation degree from recognized college or university with any percentage. So you need not to worry about percentage. and you just concentrate on graduation. you can also apply for the post while appearing in final year of graduation.

for IAS your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. There is also available relaxation in upper age limit according to government norms as 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

to become an IAS officer you have to apply for Civil Services exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC.

Civil Services exam is conducted in three phases and you have to clear all the phases to become an IAS officer.
The three phases are CSAT(Prelims), Mains and Interview

there is also applicable limit of number of attempts like 4 for General, 7 for OBC and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/ST candidates.

Well friend i should tell you that 12th marks has nothing to do with the ias civil services examination.qualifying exam for civil services is graduation.
Civil services exam eligibility:
<>you must have an indian citizenship.
<>you should have done graduation from any recognised university.
<>age limit
general-21 to 30 years
obc-21 to 33 years
sc/st-21 to 35 years.thank you

Dear aspirant you must not worry about the marks of 12th or Graduation to appear or to get IAS (UPSC)job thereis no need to get minimum or maximum marks,a Graduate having minimum pass marks can appear UPSC IAS entrance examination and can get IAS job.The entrance exam.is the toughest exam candidates to crack.

The IAS Eligibility:-

1. GRADUATE FROM RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY.

2.AGE:GEN: 21-30 years. Relaxations for OBC: 3 years, S/C S/T: 5 years. PWD: 10 years.

3.Nationality: Indian.

4.Attempts: General: 4 attempts. OBC: 7 attempts. S/c S/T: No limit.

Actualy there us no condition in IAS exam to pass +2 with any
specialization or with minimum marks,because it is independent
of +2 marks and the eligibility criteria of IAS is only to have Graduation
passed.
So don't affraid of marks in +2,just concentrate on your IAS preparation
and give your best in it.

Dear friend,

Either you belong to SC category or open there is no criteria of percentage required to appear for IAS exam.

So I think its not a matter of big concern rather you should concentrate more on your studies, because even if you get just passing marks you are eligible for IAS officers post.

Also 12th class is not an eligibility criteria for Civil services exam.

You are required to do complete your graduation then only you will be eligible for this post.

This is a tough exam so I would like to advice you to prepare from the 1st year of your graduation.

This exam is known a civil services exam, and conducted by UPSC once in a year.

According to new pattern of exam in Prelims you have ne more section i.e, General aptitude which earlier was not there.
General studies is still there.

Secondly If you qualify in Prelims then only you can give mains exam and after that Interview.

Some points to note:-

You must be a passed/ appearing graduate.

You must be an Indian.

You must come in the described age group as published in the notification of exam.

If you want to fight UPSC exam.
Then you have complete your 12th with 60% min. marks.
also you have to complete your graduation 54% min. marks.
Then you can apply for this exam.

Dear Aspirant,


My friend there is a special reservation for SC/ST that there is no percentile criteria for these students.

So dont worry about the percentile criteria.But only thing is you need to pass the graduation from any course.

Then you need to choose the Coaching centre for the UPSC exams.

Coaching is must for getting a IAS post job.So search for a good institute and join in it.

Because they give a good timetable in that there will be a good planning of things which make students get good results.

if you are not interested with coaching then you may take the suggestions of the students who have cleared the Upsc exam and work under their guidance.

There are people who have cleared these exam rounds with out any coaching so you can clear it .

Refer as many books as possible.So that you dont miss any important topics.

UPSC conducts civil services examination every year for services like Indian Administrative Services(IAS),Indian Police Services ,Indian Foreign Services.It is one of the most prestigious examination conducted in India.See UPSC has fixed graduation as the minimum educational qualification in order to become eligible for appearing in civil service examination.

You need to be just passed in every subjects in order to become eligible for appearing in civil service examination.So if you get passed percentage in class 12 you are eligible for appearing in civil service examination but after completing your graduation that getting pass percentage in graduation.

To become an ias officer.

1)-you must be graduated from any recognised university.
)-no percentage is required only graduation is required to appear
in ias exam.

Age limit is different for different casts candidates :-

1)- for general candidates age limit is 21-30.
2)- for obc candidates age limit is 21-33.
3)- for sc, st candidates age limit is not compulsary.

Number of oppertunities for different candidates :-

1)- Only 4 oppertunities are available for general candidates .
2)- Only 7 oppeetunities are available for obc candidates.
3)- No limit for sc, st candidates

To appear in the ias exam.

** commerce , science , arts any stream student can apply for ias exam.

Arts is the best stream for those who want to become an ias officer.
