IES stands for Indian Engineering Services . IES exam is conducts by Union Public Service Commission once in every year.

For that exam only engineering graduate can apply and also can apply in last year of graduation.

Age Limit :
GEN : 21-30 years
BC : 21-33 years
SC/ST : 21-35 years

Selection Procedure :

CSAT (Prelims)
Main Exam
Interview

• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering

Dear candidate
ies candidate can also apply for the upsc examsby choosing there following streams:
Electronic engineering
mechanical engineering
civil engineering etc.

1)the eligiblity is that you must be graduate from engineering
2)must be citizen of india
3)age from 21 to 30 yrs for general and obc with 3 yrs of age relaxation and sc/at have 5 yrs of age relaxation.

As you want to know about IES exam conducted by UPSC then I must tell you that every engineering student can apply for IES exam but only thing you must know that you have to choose subjects from following streams
Engineering i.e
-Mechanical Engineering
-Electronics Engineering
-Electronics and Telecommunication
-Civil Engineering

So you can apply for this exam,you can apply for exam by applying on official website of UPSC i.e
www.UPSC.gov.in

The eligibility criteria if IES exam are
-Must be graduate in Engineering
-Must be of age b/w 21-30
-Must be Indian

ece students can apply for ies examination online through upsc.gov.in and can also apply offline by buying application forms from head post office.
remember civil services exam and engineering services examinations are two different exams.
