sorry you are not eligible on CDS Exam because you are left on age.
and then another reasons are not allowed on female candidate.
age should be on 16.5 ------19.
only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

You are eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

CDS i.e Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year as called as CDS I and CDS II. CDS I and CDS II Last date for receipt of application was already closed. If you are missed this opportunity then don't worry next notification will be released soon...

Being female candidate you are eligible to apply for CDS OTA Examination. Mainly CDS Examination is conducted for recruitment into Military Academy,Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer Training Academy Examination. Military,Naval and Air Force Examination is only for Unmarried male candidates and female candidates are not eligible. I think you now get idea about the CDS Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for OTA ::

-You must be Citizen of India or Subject of Bhutan or Subject of Nepal.
-You must be Unmarried male candidate.
-You must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years.
-Both the Unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply for this Post.
-No relaxation is applicable.
-No minimum marks required to apply for this examination.

Examination Pattern ::

-General Knowledge - 100 Marks.
-English Language - 100 Marks.

Being a girl you can surely apply for the C.D.S .

But the training academy for you will be the Officers' Training Academy, Chennai.
The following are the qualifications :->>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university

>>Age limit : 19-25 years.

>>Citizen of India.

>>Physically fit.


Details about Notifications:-

>>CDS exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC.

>>You can check the website of UPSC to get next year CDS registration tentative dates.

>>CDS I and CDS II for the year are already over so you need to wait for next year.


You can apply online by filling up the form online at www.upsconline.nic.in

You will be called upon for the s.s.b interview.

Then after successful recommendation from the S.S.B center,you will have to face a medical test.


Then you are through a tough training process at the O.T.A.

And you are a part of the glorious Adventure team called the INDIAN DEFENSE.

yes, you can apply for CDS exam being a female 22 years graduate in electronics Engineering. CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice in every year. being a girl candidate you can only apply for OTA exam and you can't apply for IAF, INA,IMA through CDS.

OTA stands for Officers Training Academy. for OTA you need graduation in any discipline from recognized college or university. your age should be within 29 years to 25 years.

you should be physically and mentally fit for CDS exam.

there is no relaxation in age for any category.

you should be Indian Citizen.

Yes,a girl can also join defence services by giving CDS exam between age of 19-24 years after her graduation. CDS is held twice a year.

So your age is in the limit of the " Actual Required Age limits "

The eligibility is as follows ---


You must have attained a minimum of " Bachelor Degree " from a recognized university

You must be an Indian Citizen

The final year candidates are also eligible to appear for the exam


For AIR FORCE ACADEMY --- ( 19 -23 ) years

For Naval Academy --- ( 19- 22 ) years

Qualification-Graduation from any stream

OTA-Age-19 to 25 years
Qualification same as IMA

AFA-Age-19 to 23 years
Qualification-Graduation from any stream with physics and maths in 10+2

NA-Age-19 to 22 years
Qualifications-B.SC(Physics and Maths) or engineering degree

Eligibility For Boys and Girls

IMA-Only Boys
OTA-Both boys and girls
AFA-Only boys
NA-Only boys

CDSE conducted twice in a year.
Conducted by UPSC

CDSE offers permanent commission to Air force,navy,army.
But only to boys,girls have short service commission in army.

Yes female candidates can apply for the CDS exam.
But you can apply for the OTA (Officer Training Academy) through the CDS exam.
For this you must have a graduate degree from a recognized university in any stream and your age must lies in between 19-25 years.
You must be Indian and unmarried.
You must be physically as well as mentally fit.
You are now of 22 years so you can apply for the CDS exam.

1.Candidate should have atleast graduate degree from a recognized university
2.age of candidate must lies in between :-

--For Indian Army:- 19-24 years
--For Air Force:- 19-23 years
--For Navy :- 19-22 years
--For Officer Training Academy(OTA):- 19-25 years

3.you must be Physically fit
4.you must be Indian
5.You must be unmarried.

The acronym CDS stands for the Combined defense Services .It gives you chance to join the different academies of defense at bachelor's degree level.It is also conducted by the UPSC twice every year.

The eligibility criteria for this exam is :

1.Academic requirements and age criteria :

For Indian Military academy:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

>>Age limit :19-24 years

For Indian Naval academy

>>Bachelor's degree in any stream of engineering or technology from a recognized university.

>>Age limit :19-22 years

For Indian Air force academy:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline with mathematics and physics at 10+2 is compulsory.

>>Age limit :19-23 years

For Officer's training academy:

You can appear but you can only apply for OTA through CDS.
You being female candidate are eligible for Officer Training Academy.
The minimum qualification required is Graduation pass from any stream and age limit permitted is 19-25 years.
OTA comes under Indian Army and you will be selected for Short Service Commission of 14 years.
CDS exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC. You can check the website of UPSC to get next year CDS registration tentative dates.2013 CDS I and CDS II are already over so you need to wait for next year.

As you are B.E ECE,you are also eligible for AFCAT Technical Branch.
AFCAT is conducted twice by Air Force and it is the only entry scheme in Airforce for women.
The age limit is 18-28 years and qualification required is B.E/B.Tech with above 60% marks.
