UPSC organizes the Civil service exam every year at all India Level.

After qualifying Civil service exam you can get the appointment on the following posts which are as follows:

Indian Administrative Service

Indian Police Service

Indian Revenue Service


Apart from this exam UPSC conducts various competitive exam for officer rank post which are as follows

CDS( Combined Defence Service)

IFS(Indian Forest Service)

SCRA ( Special Railway Class Apprentice)

Combined Medical Service exam

Geologist exam

NDA/NA

Stenographer

Etc.

After qualifying for civil service exam, you can apply for various posts such as ias,ips ies. It is an exam conducted by upsc. You can read civil law at the judicial sector. Upsc also conduct other exams like civil engineering and others

The UPSC conducts the All-India open competitive examination for Central Government every year like CSAT, CMS, NDA, CDS, CPF etc.. The CSAT is one of them. The CSAT examination includes the IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS & other subordinate jobs etc.. There is a bit difference in IAS & IPS that the IAS officers enjoy some powers that the IPS officers don't. Because there is very limited area that the IPS officer have to manage, but for IAS, there is some more powers. These two examinations comes under one examination, i.e., CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test). The UPSC sometimes conducts the competitive examination for the judicial sector. Recently, it conducts the examination for the Legal Officer posts of CBI. Best of Luck
