Yes you can get the age relaxation under OBC category for the civil service exam.

UPSC conducts the civil service exam for the post of IAS.

Age limit for civil service exam is 21 to 30 years

Age relaxation

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

Ex serviceman + 5 years.

Education criteria

You must be graduate in any stream from recognized University.


Nationality

You must be Indian.


There is no age relaxation for Muslim community in UPSC exam.

But as you mentioned that you are government employee so you can get the age relaxation of 5 years.

So you can apply for civil service exam till the age of 35 years.


Attempts for civil service exam

4 attempt for general candidates

7 attempt for OBC candidates

No limit for SC/ST

Yes you will get the benefit of the obc category

And as for the upsc exam civil services exam

Here is the criteria:

Education: The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized university

Age limit: The age relaxation given to the obc of 3 years

And age limit is 21-30 and relaxation for the sc,st 5 years

And as a obc candidate you will get the relaxation of 3 years

Yes, there is an age relaxation for OBC candidates. The upper age limit for OBC is 3years. But there is no specific relaxation for the minority communities. The number of attempts for OBC candidates is 07years. But you must be a graduate from the recognized university. Best of Luck

the age relaxation for obc's is upto 3 years

so totally the age limit should be 3 years for your categories

you did not mention your about your age

any way the age limit should not be crossed 33 years for you candidates

you have a complete degree with any percentage from any university

upsc provides relaxation for backward candidates

for oc's or general there is no relaxation

for bc's the relaxation should be 3 years

fos sc's the relaxation should be 5 years

so check whether you can eligible or not

if you category is listed in OBC under Centeral list of OBC category then you can definitely get the age relaxation under OBC category for UPSC IAS exams.

yes dear if you belong to OBC category then you will get age relaxation of 3 years,
now for you age limit is 21 to 33 years.

but you are suppose to mention the OBC certificate when you are asked to show.

Yes there are some age relaxion for OBC cast in UPSC exam .
21-30 years age limit for the general cast and for the obc cast there are 3 years upper age relaxion .
so that age limit for obc cast is 21-33 .

The other relaxion is for the no of attempts :
For general cast there are 4 attempts are ellowed
for obc there are 7 attempts are allowed .

But you should done your graduation from any recognized university .

so that you are eligible and have some benefit also so start the preparation for the exam and give it.
