According to there hard work they can get promotion at different level. They can be appointed in a big cities and Metropolitan Cities. IAS officer can be promoted as Commissioner. They can be called by Central government at several important posts. They can be appointed as secretary of CM, PM. They can be appointed as director of various government board. IAS officer can be sent for Foreign Service like ambassador. They can be appointed as chief in various central government department like water, pollution, disaster etc. So there is huge occasion of promotion for an IAS officer during the service.
