    To become an IPS Officer you would be crack Civil Service Exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

    So dear for IPS Office first of all you would be complete your Graduation .

    After Graduation you are eligible for Civil Service Exam.

    Age should be between 21-30 years

    For Examination you would be hard work
    you should read newspaper and magazine
    you should be NCERT books
    You should watch news channel
    you should be solved previous question paper

    First of all i would like to appreciate you deeply for your desire in becoming IPS officer.

    To become an IPS officer
    You have to write civil service exams which is conducted by UPSC.



    UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION:
    The UPSC is the board to conduct civil services examination, Engineering services examination, Combined defense services examination, National defense academy examination, naval academy examination and combined medical services examination.

    CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION:
    Civil service exam includes posts like
    1. Indian Administrative Service(IAS)
    2. Indian Foreign Service(IFS)
    3. Indian Police Service(IPS)
    4. Indian Revenue Service(IRS)
    The exam is conducted in three phases
    Notification of the exam is in December/January.
    Prelims is held in May/June
    Results for prelims is in August first half
    Main exam is in October/November.
    Results in 2nd week of March
    Final interview is in April/May.
    Results are in May/June.


    ELIGIBILITY:
    Nationality must be Indian.
    A degree from central, state or deemed university
    A degree from Correspondence education or distance education
    A degree from Open University
    Age limit is 21 to 30 years
    Upper age limit relaxation is up to 33 years for OBC non creamy layer and defense services personnel disabled.
    Up to 35 years for sc/st caste
    No. of attempts are four attempts general category and OBC creamy layer.
    Seven attempts for OBC non creamy layer
    No limit in SC/ST candidates
