IPS (Indian Police Service) exam conducted by UPSC.

Application form will available on UPSC Official website: www.upsconline.nic.in

Age Limit: Age should be between 21-30 years for General
21-33 years for OBC
21-35 years for SC/ST

Educational Qualification:Candidate should be Graduate from any recognized university.

Attempts

For General 4 Attempts
For OBC 7 Attempts
For SC/ST No Limit

Physical:

Height 165 cms
For Pahari & SC/ST/ OBC 160 cms

Chest 84 Cms

So dear if you fulfill these condition you can apply for this examination.

You can apply for IPS officers through UPSC. you can get the form from the official website of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in

Eligibility Criteria

Education qualification-
Graduation in any stream from Govt. recognized University(NO restriction of %)
Final year student who appeared in last year exam can also apply for UPSC prelims exam.

age should be 21 to 30 years
age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years
age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

To become an IPS Officer you have to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exam(CSE).

UPSC CSE 2013 Exam Notification will be advertised on 02.02.2013 and last date of application

is 04.03.2013.The Prelims/CSAT Exam will be held on 19.05.2013.

General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year exam
OBC-21-33yrs
SC/ST-21-35yrs

Educational Qualification :
Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University/equivalent.
