It is job like IPS/IAS which is conducted by UPSC. Latest notification of CISF is running.

Last date of Receipt Application is 26 July 2013.

UPSC invites CISF Assistant Commandant(Executive)

Eligibility;-

>>Your age should be between 18-35 years. Age relaxation is given according to UPSC rules.

Education Qualification;-

You should have completed 4 years of regular service as on 1 January 2013 in the rank of Sub. Inspector (GD) / Inspector (GD) including the period of basic training.

You should have clean service record for 04 years of the ACR and not having any major punishment in the entire service career.

Selection Process;-

You will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standard Tests or Personality/Interview Tests

CISF is Central industrial Security force. It is a security organization of central govt which actually covers the security of major Industries,Plants,Refineries of Central govt or semi govt sector and also few in private sector.The security of PSUs refineries or plants as in SAIL,NALCO,HEC,MECON,ISRO,IOCL,HPCL,BPCL,ONGC etc is taken care of by CISF,The lower post of CISF are filled by CISF itself and the higher posts are filled by UPSC exam for CISF.

CISF comes under Central Armed Police forces.It will give security to industrial sectors such as atomic power plants,space installations, defence production units,major ports,heavy engineering,steel plants,barrages,fertilizer units,air ports,power plants and currency note presses.


Assistant Commandants in CISF are recruited through Central Armed Police Force Examination conducted by UPSC. This year examination is on 20th October 2013.Last date for submission of applications is 05/08/2013.
