Dear Applicant,
- As far as I have known, tonsils in the throat have not been a criteria for rejection in the medical tests for the exams conducted by the UPSC.
- It has been a common problem to many, and hence your problem will be definitely considered and dealt with softly.
- The main criterias to be kept in mind and followed well are ::
# Your height and co-related weight.
# Your eye sight. You must have proper vision, and must be free of night blindness and color blindness.
# You must be free of all such diseases which might affect you mentally and physically in your tasks.
- If your body is perfectly okay with these three criteria, then in all probability,a minor problem such as tonsils in throat would not affect your chances.
KEEP YOURSELF FIT OTHERWISE.THIS WILL JUST BE ENOUGH.
ALL THE BEST !!

dear friend,
Tonsils is not a big problem it can be recovered by proper treatment. and you are declared unfit for Medical Test if you have Serious medical problem.

Hi Aspirant
Well first you have not given your full details
Like which exam physical you are talking means
Like for ssc inspector income tax or constable
If the medical is related to the defence or police
Then your rejection chances is more as they are very strict about it
And they are taking the candidates who are fully physically fit
And if you are talking about some others like ssc ldc
Then it is ok
But all in one it will depend on the physical of the post
Best of luck
According medical examination rules of UPSC
1) If a candidate has chronic inflammation of tonsils then, he is considered as fit.
2) If hoarseness of voice of sever degree is found, then he is temporarily unfit that is the candidate will be subject to another medical examination after 6 months in which a final decision whether he is fit or not will be taken.
As long as you dont have hoarseness of voice you are eligible for all posts and you can clear the medical examination.
So better check in advance from a registered medical practitioner.
