This year's Preliminary Examination of IFoS has been conducted at 26th of May 2013 and main examination dates are not announced yet by UPSC board but will be declared soon but if you are confident about your prelims result then you must begin preparation for main examination and you have already chosen optional paper I as Botany so you have to select second paper and that also should be related to your graduation that may be - Chemistry or Zoology but only after getting completed graduate level
There will be four papers conducted for two optional papers and one would be for GK and one for English Language and all papers conducted in conventional type pattern that all papers will be set in english only and passing in each is mandatory so you should prepare well and score good marks.
