Acronym IES stands for Indian Engineering Services. The IES exam is only conducted for the graduates from Engineering. for IES exam you need to have Engineering degree in any stream from recognized college or university. you can also apply for UPSC IES exam while studying in final year of Engineering.
So i am extremely sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for IES exam.
but you can apply for UPSC exams after B.Arch like Civil Services, CPF, CDS, IPS.

For that exam you should be graduate in engineering and also can apply in last year of engineering graduation.
Your age must be under 21-30 years.
3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

YES A B.ARCH STUDENT CAN APPLY FOR INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES.
The educational qualification required for applying in Indian Engineering Services.
ENGINEERING DEGREE IN ANY STREAM.
As you have done B.ARCH,then you are obviously eligible for Indian Engineering Service Examination.
There is one jeopardy related to IES.According to UPSC,whatever your stream of engineering may be,you only have branches to choose for examination to get qualified as IES officer.
1)Civil Engineering.
2)Electronics and Communication Engineering.
3)Electrical Engineering.
4)Mechanical Engineering.
So you can understand that to study a stream that is not yours is really bit odd.

No there will be no chances for the bacelor in architecture in the indian engineering services examination because there is clearly written that a graduate in a engineering in civil/electrical/electronics/electronics and telecommunication/information technology can only apply for the IES examination so you should drop the idea to apply for the IES exam.
If you not beleive then kindly see the eligibility criteria as given below-
Graduate in engineering from a recognised university or equivalent can apply for the engineering services examination.
MSC degree or its equivalent qualification in wireless communication , electronics, radio physics or radio engineering as a special subjects are also acceptable.
Candidates appearing in the final year of the examination can also apply for the same.
Examination pattern-
Written test there will be 5 papers.
Paper 1 will include objective general ability test part A will be general english.
Part B general studies.
Paper 2 and 3 objective will be based on the civil engineering /mechanical/electronics/electrical, electronics and telecommunication. 200 marks for each papers.
Paper 4 and 5 conventional type means essay type.
total marks for the written examination will be 1000.
Personality test 200.

The IES exam is basically conducted for Engineering candidates.
as you have done B.Arch you are not eligible for the exam.
for the IES exam only those candidates who are pursuing(or passed) B.E degree are eligible of the following stream -
Civil engineering
Mechanical engineering/production engineering
Electrical engineering/power engineering
electronics and communication enineering
so you cannot appear for this IES exam.
there many other UPSC exam conducted for which you are elgibile like the IPS , IAS etc...
you can surely apply for those.

Because you must have completed minimum of Bachelor Degree
Bachelor Degree in " Engineering " is allowed
And you will have to Write the exam in one of the below streams ..

For giving this exam you need to be a graduate in any of the following engineering streams
1. Mechanical engineering
2. Electrical engineering
3. Civil engineering
4. Electronics and communication engineering
For giving this exam the age limit is 21-30 years for the general category. A relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the obc and the sc/st category respectively.

There is only for branches can apply for the IES .
EC, EEE,ME,CIVIL .
If you don't have this branch then you cann't apply for the IES exam.
But don't worry you can apply other upsc exam.
Like IAS , IPS , NDA etc.
So go for this exams.
