You can prepare from the books which you have used in your graduation times. Any university books are fully prepared for the examination. Also for basic knowledge you can use NCERT books.

You should read newspapers and read the newspaper editorial page. If you do so then you can update your general knowledge and also you can give your own view for national issues. These issues will be asked in upsc exam.

upsc is conducting the exam every year for the post like IAS And IPS

And for the exam the candidate should be pass in graduation

And the age should be between 21-30

And their will be age relaxation given to the obc of 3 years

And relaxation given to the sc,st of 5 years

And as from the books point you have not mention which subjects you are going to choose optional

Here is the List of some books :

-For the English the best book is R.S Aggarwal

-Even for English you can go for the S.P Bakshi Book too

-For the Preparation of G.K The lucent book is best

-For the preparation of g.k take help from S.S Books of 8th to 10th

-For the g.k preparation you can also read daily a national news paper
