Can a 3rd year B.Com student appear in UPSC prelims exam? What is the best time to join in coaching institute? Is it true that IAS and IPS entrance is same in the name of CSAT? Suggest some good books and coaching institutes for CSAT in Delhi.

    Hi,
I have been going through the internet regarding the IPS entrance and stuff lately and have'nt been able to get any satisfactory answers a few of them are

    1. Currently i am in B.Com second year and awaiting results, i am pretty sure i'll be in 3rd year so the thing is do i first need to be a graduate or can i appear for the preliminary exams while i am in the 3rd year.

    2. As of i have heard the forms for the registration are out in feb so just incase should i get coaching now or after feb.

    3. I am really confused about CSAT as of what i have heard is that the entrance for IPS and IAS is same and called CSAT is it true?.

    4. One last thing if just anyone could help me identify some good books and coaching centers in NEW DELHI for the entrance exams.

and help would be greatly appreciated

Yes definitely if you are final year examination appearing student then you can apply for the civil services examination but after qualifying the examination if you got selected for the interview then you need to show the proof for the graduation.
    So think about it.
According to me if you have fully prepared yourself by self study and satisfied with your preperation then you need to join the coaching academies before the 2 months of the examinations.
As they will give the extra material for the exam and you can easily qualify the examination if provided a proper guidance.
If you think that you cannot prepare by yourself then you need to join the coaching academies as soon as possible.
IAS and the IPS examination both are included in the civil services examination so you must have to apply for the civil sevices examination.
To apply for the same you need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the same as follows-
    AGE-
21 to 30 years for general.
21 to 33 for the OBC.
    21 to 35 years for the SC/ST.
21 to 33 for the disabled defence personel in war.
21 to 35 years for the ex servicemen as well.
Qualification must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
Final year appearing candidate can also apply.
Books that are useful are as follows-
History books of NCERT syllabus of class XI and XIIth.
Geography books of classxi and xii.
Rest you need to read newspaper daily because you cannot read so many books to grasp things because brain have a certain memory if you grasp things in daily life then you will easily prepare for the exam.
If you read everything in one day then you can only remember50% things and rest of all will be waste.

    thank you.
