Dear Aspirant. >> The UPSC conducts the SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICES exams annually,for the recruitment of candidates into the GRADE-A officers posts in the Indian Railways.
>> The notifications of the examinations are released in NOVEMBER while the exams are conducted by the end of JANUARY.
>> The candidates who qualify both the Written and the Interviews,are enrolled by the board as students in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING,where they are taught how to deal with the system in Railways,and after a span of four years,they are placed in the Group-A posts of Railways.
The COMPLETE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for the SCRA exams are mentioned below ::
01. NATIONALITY. You must be a Citizen of India.
02. AGE LIMITS. You must be 17 To 21 years of age.Relaxations in age limit are allowed only according to Government norms.
03. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS. You must have passed your 10+2,or be in the appearing year,from a recognized board or university with MATHEMATICS as a compulsory subject and PHYSICS or CHEMISTRY as another compulsory subject.
04. SEX. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
O5. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS.As long as you meet the eligibility criteria,there is on restriction on the number of attempts.

UPSC conduct SCRA exam for the purpose of recruits the candidates in the Field of railways.
Eligibility Criteria for SCRA:
1. 12th or equivalent with physics and Math from recognized Board or university .
2. your age must be within 17 years to 21 years. There is age relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.
