    preparation for civil services is simple but only through planning.
    Maintain confident levels till the interview , plan subjects wisely according to the time and date of exam
    try to learn each and every point in the subject

    About Civil Services Examination

    This exam is conducted every year by UPSC and the scheme of the exam is as under;

    The whole examination is comprised of two stages.

    1. Preliminary Examination
    This is also called Civil Services Aptitude Test and is common test for all applicants.
    This contains questions from General studies(History, Geography, Politics, Economics and social development, General Science) English Mathematical Aptitude etc.

    2. Main Exam and Interview
    Those who qualify Preliminary exam are called for Main exam and on the basis of marks in Main exam, candidates are called for Interview. The total marks of Main exam and Interviw are sum up to produce final result.

    The Main examination will contain following papers
    1. Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
    2. English Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
    3. General Essay type paper (200 marks)
    4. General Studies (Paper-I & II 300 marks each)
    5. Optional subject-I(Paper-I & II 300 marks each)
    6. Optional subject-II(Paper-I&II 300 marks each)

    The subject for optional paper are as under.
    You can choose any two of them. The choice is completely yours.

    Agriculture
    Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Civil Engineering
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Economics
    Electrical Engineering
    Geography
    Geology
    History
    Law
    Management
    Mathematics
    Mechanical Engineering
    Medical Science
    Philosophy
    Physics
    Political Science and International Relations
    Psychology
    Public Administration
    Sociology
    Statistics
    Zoology

    But following combinations of two optional subjects are not permissible
    - Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration;
    - Commerce & Accountancy and Management;
    - Anthropology and Sociology;
    - Mathematics and Statistics;
    - Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
    - Management and Public Administration;
    - Any two engineering subjects
    - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science.

    You should obtain the syllabus of these subjects from www.upsc.gov.in

    How to Prepare?:
    First of all you are required to select the proper optional subjects
    based on your knowledge a interests.

    The preparation should be started with the General studies paper(Main) and syllabus of CSAT.
    once you are done with a good quantity of the above, then you should start preparing for optional subjects and then the remaining papers of Main exam.

    It is quite difficult to do the preparation without proper guidance
    so you should consult some students who are already preparing for this and some coaching institute study material.

    Basically Civil Service Exam is having General Studies One paper and Optional Subjects is 2nd Paper.

    In General Studies, You will find syllabus Like Indian History, Geography, Indian Polity, General Science ,Current Affairs, Mental Ability and Indian Economy etc.

    For the Preparation of the civil services exam

    You need to follow the steps:

    First purchase some good books of good publishers

    And good writers because with out good books good preparation is not possible

    Then make a time table and give proper time to each subject

    And then follow the time table

    And work hard according to the time table

    And do daily practice in regular intervals

    For the preparation of the past gk and on the other hand for the current gk the
