    my dear friend,

i must suggest you to start your preparation with the NCERT books,

to have better knowledge of concepts of the high level,
you must have to gain the base knowledge of all those concepts and the base concepts are in the NCERT books,

you should first manage your time for study,

make a time table giving justice to every subject,
give proper time to every subject and prepare well.

also for better preparation you can download the previous year question papers form the official website of upsc,

solve more and more practice papers in the last days of the exam.

    Hi!

    n.

Only below any one branches are eligible to apply for IES examination:
    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Mechanical engineering
    3.Electrical Engineering
    4.Electronics and Tele communication engineering.

***My suggestion is better to prepare for Civil services examination which required only Graduation in any stream.
