Eligibility criteria for UPSC:- ========================= ## Student must pass graduation to appear exam. ## Age Criteria:- ------------------------ General: 21 to 30 years OBC: 21 to 33 years SC/ST: 21 to 35 years. ## you in his fiinal year is also eligible for the civil services exam ## you must be an indian citizen. ## Number of attempts:- ------------------------------- - four of general. - sSeven for OBC. - no limit on attempts for SC/ST . Minimum eligibility for UPSC is as following conditions. You must posses a graduation degree from any recognized university. And you have to secure minimum 50% of marks. The age is should in between 21-30 years.The upper age limit will be applicable for ST/Sc/OBC candidates. 3 years for OBC And 5 years for ST/SC candidates. You must be citizen from India. UPSC conducts many exams like:- AGE LIMIT FOR EXAMS:- Except for NDA and SCRA age limit for all other exams conducted by UPSC is almost same. 21 to 30 yrs for general 21 to 33yrs for OBC 21 to 35 yrs for SC/ST. Age limit for NDA exam: 16 1/2 to 19 yrs. AGe limit for SCRA exam:- minimum 17 yrs maximum 21 yrs

Hi For giving the upsc exam, you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria which states that you should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. A relaxation of 3 and 5 years is provided to the obc and sc/st students respectively in the age criteria while appearing in the exam. The Defence and Civil Service exam are conducted under the UPSC. So each exam has its own eligibilities. >> Defence Exams The Defence exam NDA and CDS exam are conducted by the UPSC. Preliminary Exam : this would be objective type exam in which you will have to attempt two papers in a day and each paper would contain 200 marks so that the grand total becomes 400 and qualifying is important to appear for next exam. Mains Examination : this would be descriptive type paper where you have to face 7 different papers and total marks would be 2000 for all 7 papers and you will have to be passed in this exam then you would be allowed to face interview process. Interview Process : If you qualify both papers then you would be allowed to face interview and if you qualify the interview process then you would finally selected for civil services and you would be sent for 2 years training under the government then you will get the appointment. But mainly, the criteria for these exam is as follows: Educational criteria: Any degree from recognized university. Age criteria: Minimum: 21 years Maximum: 30 years This is applicable for general category. There is age relaxation as follows 3 years for OBC. 5 years for SC/ST & Exservice Men. 10 years for PWD. No age relaxation for any caste. 2>Technical Entry Scheme - Age Limit - 161/2 to 191/2. Qualification - Intermediate passed with physics ,chemistry and maths . Minimum percentage is 70% in 12th. 3>Special Class Railway Apperentices - Age Limit - 17 to 21 years. The qualification required is graduation and age limit is 21 to 30 years and age relaxation for sc/st,obc and physically handicapped. IES have different criterias. 2)CDSE The graduation from any discipline but must have physics and maths in 10+2 for NA and AFA.AGE LIMIT-19 TO 25(all combined) 3)NDA the qualification is 10+2 and age is -16.5 to 19 years, 4)PCS any stream graduation age limit-19 to 25 years.

Have a glance over variety of Entrance Exams that are being conducted by UPSC.-CDS Exam-NDA Exam-CSAT Exam-SCRA Exam-IES Exam.The minimum academic qualification and age criteria to take these exams will be varied from one exam to other exam.You did not mention the highest academic qualification that you possess.I suggest you to take the respective Entrance Exam as per your qualification. The Civil Services Examination is a challenge and thousands of candidates appear in it every year. To achieve success in the exam, it is important to study in a focused manner, both for the Preliminary as well as for the Main Exam. For an IAS aspirant, it is important to know the plan of the examination as well as what one might expect. The examination consists of two parts: the Preliminary Examination (objective type), which is a qualifying examination, and a Main Examination consisting of written examination and interview. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam are not counted in the Main Exam and it is only a screening exam. The Preliminary Exam is an objective type test. One can appear in the Main Examination only after passing the Preliminary Exam. UPSC board conduct various exams which are following : Civil Services : Must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates. Forest Services : Should have a bachelor's degree in - Chemistry/Botany/Mathematics/Physics/Zoology/Geology/Seed Technology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Microbiology/ or in Agriculture or in horticulture or in Animal Husbandry and veterinary science and age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation follows same as mentioned above. Educational Qualifications you must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Number of attempts The maximum number of attempts restriction is effective from the examination held in 1984. In case other eligibility conditions apply: General Caste: four attempts. The minimum eligibility for UPSC is you must complete the graduation from any recognized university. And your age should be in between 21-30 years.The upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates. You must be citizen from India.
