UPSC means Union Public Service Commission.
It conducts exams for many posts like IAS, IFS,IES,NDA,SCRA, etc.
It is not a single exam, and as well the criteria also changes from exam to exam.
But mainly, the criteria for these exam is as follows:
Educational criteria: Any degree from recognized university.
Age criteria:
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 30 years
This is applicable for general category.
There is age relaxation as follows
3 years for OBC.
5 years for SC/ST & Exservice Men.
10 years for PWD.
Number of attempts:
General candidates: four attempts.
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

UPSC conducted There are 3 stage of exam.
Preliminary Exam : this would be objective type exam in which you will have to attempt two papers in a day and each paper would contain 200 marks so that the grand total becomes 400 and qualifying is important to appear for next exam.
Mains Examination : this would be descriptive type paper where you have to face 7 different papers and total marks would be 2000 for all 7 papers and you will have to be passed in this exam then you would be allowed to face interview process.
Interview Process : If you qualify both papers then you would be allowed to face interview and if you qualify the interview process then you would finally selected for civil services and you would be sent for 2 years training under the government then you will get the appointment.

The candidates who will clear the Intermediate such candidates can apply for the NDA exam. This exam is only for the Intermediate candidates only. And also age should be 16.5-19 years . if the candidates clear this exam then candidates can have the opportunity to join In the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force
CDS exam is also conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The candidates who will clear this exam such candidates have the opportunity to join the Indian Defence fields.
