The IAS officer is a good post on the state level.The procedure of IAS selection are written below.

Firest you complite your greduation on any govt. approped university.
Then second is your age .
For gen. 21 to 30.
For obc 21 to 33
For sc/st 21 to 35

If this qulification are you eligible for this exam.

After then the exam selection procedure are complite in three step.

1) Priliming exam
2) Main exam
3) Interview

Firest you passed priliming exam then you eligible for main exam.
And then you select main exam then you complite the main exam, and cleare the main exam.
After then you select for interview exam.
If you clear thye interview then your exam is clear.
And you make a IAS officer.

* First of all complete your graduation successfully...!

* Choose the graduation of your own interest and if possible the same you can use for the main exam...choose it in such a way...!

* Make a habit of reading good newspapers....!

* Watch NDTV, CNN IBN, BBC...!

* Be aware of Indian and International happenings upto-date...!

* Read NCERT 10th , 12th History, geography books...!

* You can make use of RS Aggarwal book and CSR for cracking aptitude and logical questions....!

* Develop a good communicational skill...!

* Be a strong leader and improve your team leadership qualities..!

* Atlast, face the interview boldly....!

to become an IAS officer you have to apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.

Civil Services Exam is conducted in three parts listed below:

1. CSAT(Civil Services Aptitude Test)
2. Mains Exam
3. Interview

you have to clear all the three sections of Civil Services exam to become an IAS officer.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services:

1. Graduation in any stream.

2. Age Limit:

• General: 21 to 30 years
• OBC: 21 to 33 years
• SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

To become an IAS Officer you have to clear the prestigious Civil Services Exams(CSE).
UPSC condusts the CSE every year to make recruitments to various posts like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS,etc.
Recruitments are made to a total of 24 posts/services through the CSE.
It is one of the most prestigious and tough exam held at the All India Level.
So hard work,patience,dedication,time management,etc are important to clear the CSE.
You should start by clearing your basic concepts,gaining indepth knowledge of the topics according to
syllabus and working on youe personality development like body language,interpersonal skills,etc.
Try solving previous year question papers and model test papers.Read good newspapers,magazines and be aware
of the current affairs and issues.

UPSC CSE is conducted in 3 stages :

-CSAT/Prelims Exam-is conducted to shorlist candidates for Mains exam.
It consists of 2 papers of General Studies of 200 marks each.
So total marks for CSAT/Prelim exam is 400 marks.
Candidates clearing the CSAT exams are only eligible to appear in the Mains Exam.

-Mains Exam-is conducted to test the indepth knoweledge and intellect of the candidates.
It consists of 9 papers of total weightage 2000 marks.Choice of 2 optional subjects has to be made
and 2 papers of each subject prepared for the Mains exams.

-Interviews-is the test of personality of candidates and is of total 300 marks.It is the final stage of selection
and after securing a good rank in the Final Merit list you will be selected for becoming an IAS Officer.
It is a rank based exam so to get a good post like the IAS,IPS,IFS,etc you should secure a top rank in the merit list.

Age Limit :
General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of exam
OBC-21-33yrs
SC/ST-21-35yrs

Educational Qualification :
Minimum educational qualification is graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University.
Final year appeared/appearing candidates can apply on provision.

Attempts :
General Category-4 times
OBC-7 times
SC/ST-Unlimited times

First of all u should be prepared for PRELIMS exam which filters the eligible candidates. Then MAINS exam is conducted. Then INTERVIEW is the last thing which finally helps in selecting candidates as IAS.
