>> All General category candidates can apply till 30 years including both male and female candidates
>> OBC category candidates can apply till 33 years
>> SC/ST candidates can apply till 35 years

There is no separate age relaxations given to female candidates

So you can apply if you meet the above age criteria
Minimum educational qualifications to apply is Graduation Pass

The age limit for Girl candidate is same as that of the others.

There is no such age limit for only the girls.
The eligibility criteria for UPSC exams:-

You should have completed graduation from a good university

Your age should be:-

Age limit for general candidate is 21-30 years
If you are an OBC candidate then 21-33 years
If you are an Sc/ST candidate then 21-35 years

You should have these criteria fulfilled to apply for UPSC exams.

Not individual reserve age relaxation for girls both are same according to boys in UPSC.

General :- 21-30 yrs.
OBC :- 21-33 yrs.
SC/ST :- 21-35 yrs.

Eligibility Criteria to apply for UPSC Civil Services

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if he/she is pursuing final year of the degree then they may apply for for preliminary exam

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen

Relaxation in upper age for widow, divorced, separated female candidate as per government standards

If you have above mentioned qualification then you can apply for this exam between these following dates :

Start date for online application - 02-02-2013

Last date for online application - 04-03-2013

Date for UPSC Civil Service Prelims - 19-05-2013

Number of Attempts for this exam :

General Category candidates -4 times

OBC category candidates - 7 times

The age limit for the women and men are same .There is no difference .The age limit for the women of different category in Public service commission are as below:

General: 21-30 years

OBC: 21-33 years

SC/ST : 21-35 years.

>>Relaxation of three years and five years to obc and sc/st respectively.

The no of attempts for women of different category is also similar to men and are as follows:

General: 4

OBC: 7

SC/ST : no limit till their age limit.


The academic requirement is also same for the women that is bachelor's degree in any desired stream from a recognized university.final year bachelor degree candidate can also apply for the examinations.

for female candidate age limit are same as like as male candidate


Age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year, If he/she belong from general category

Age of the candidate is 21 to 33 year, If he/she belong from OBC category

Age of the candidate is 21 to 35 year, If he/she belong from SC/ST category

Dear pal,

• There is no special kind of relaxation for girl aspirants in any of the UPSC exams. Relaxation provide under various caste holds good for the female aspirant if they belong to that caste.

• The only consideration that is given for female aspirant is full fee concession as in case of SC and St Aspirants.

• The government is planning for reservation for female aspirants as in the case of member of parliament and legislative assembly.

• Bill is expected to pass with 33 % reservation for them in the vacancies that is available in the service.

for general category
21-30 years.

For OBC category
21-33 years

for SC/ST categories
21-35 years.

Dear, Sorry..!!! to say that there is nothing special age relaxation for GIRLS in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). But, there are special age relaxation in different States Public Commission Exams in compared to UPSC. AGE limit as per UPSC for all including "GIRLS":- 1. 21 -30 yrs for General Caste 2. 21-33 yrs. for OBC (non creamy LAYER) 3. 21-35 yrs. for SC/ST Oh...Girls are EXEMPTED from FEE i.e. Rs. 50/- if they apply through "ONLINE" in case of CIVIL SERVICES EXAM of UPSC. But the same is not applicable if they apply "OFFLINE". Good Luck....

for Girls to apply in CDS Exam through OTA Section under Short Service Commission.

CDS Exam is conducted basically to select candidates for pre commissioned training in any one of the following Academies::
But Girls are eligible to apply for Officers Training Academy under SSC.

Of girls in union public service exam is here :

For General candidates 21-30

And need also a graduation degree to write upsc exam

And for SC/ST the age limit for girls is 21-35

And for obc candidates the age limit is 21-33

So dear if you want to give upsc exam your age must be 21

There is no such provision for the female candidate regarding the age. The age criteria is generally 21-30years for all candidates except CPF ans CDS examination. Then the relaxation is available for the reserved category only,i.e., 3year for OBC and 5year for SC/ST. Thank you..
