    There is no percentage required for Civil Service Exam
    Only pass marks candidate can apply

    Must be Graduate from any recognized university
    No percentage required
    No special subject required


    Age should be
    For General 21-30 year
    For SC/ST 21-35 year
    For OBC 21-33 year

    So dear if you are Graduate then you can apply

    There is no issue of percentage in any class to apply the Civil Service Exam.

    To be appear in Civil Service exam you should be only graduation qualified.

    Civil Service exam is organized by the UPSC once in a year.

    Candidates with graduation degree are eligible to apply for the CSE.

    Age should be between 21 to 30 years

    age relaxation

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

    You must be the citizen of India.

    Hello dear,

    for civil services exam there is no percentage limit in 12th or graduation. only you are graduate you can appear the CSAT exam.
    CSAT is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of IAS , IPS, IRS etc.
    Eligibility Criteria

    Candidate should be graduate in any stream.
    final year candidate are also eligible
    there is no percentage limit.
    age of the candidate should be 21 to 30 year.
    3 year age relaxation for OBC candidate
    5year age relaxation for SC/ST candidate

    Selection Process

    1. Written Test
    (a) Prelims
    (b) mains
    2. Interview.

    friend its not mentioned about the percentage for 12th standard candidate.more over civil service are for those who had qualify their graduation or are doing bachelor degree final year.

    in order to apply for civil service exam,you must fulfill the eligibility which includes age limit=21-30 years,
    qualification=any bachelor degree from a recognized university
    must be medically fine
    must have indian citizenship


    **if you satisfy the eligibility conditions then yes you may proceed for the civil service exam

    -civil service exam has following stages=

    a)preliminary test
    b)main exam
    c)interview

    preliminary exam=objective type questions
    main exam=for those who qualify the preliminary test,can be allowed to appear for this exam
    interview=merit list candidate would be called for the interview.

    There are not any percentage required for civil services exams like IAS, IPS in India. You need to have a bachelor degree in any stream. thanks, Yeshgaur

    • As per the eligibility criteria stated for it, there is no minimum marks or percentage in intermediate is required.
    • The civil service examination for IAS, IPS etc. Requires you need to have completed the graduation in any stream but from only recognised university.
    • It must also be noted that only marks in graduation would be enough for it.
    • Age of your's must have to be between the bar of 21 years to 30 years.
    • It's also has an provision for the age relaxations which applies only to the reserved category which is as per the rules of central government.

    dear friends,

    UPSC doesn't require for percentage of marks if you are simple pass class graduate then you can apply for IAS but base on Intermediate you can't apply for IAS. So, firstly be graduate then apply for IAS.

    Hello,
    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.
    UPSC doesn't consider marks so don't worry about that you just have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria to appear for the Exam.

    The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    OBC 21-33 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs

    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality should be Indian.

    dear, UPSC not hire to Intermediate candidate for IAS exam. For this exam should pass graduate from recognized university. On the Intermediate level you can apply only for two exam SCRA or NDA both exam are Intermediate level so, according to your qualification you can apply. For more details visit www.upsc.gov.in

    First of all Intermediate candidates does't apply for IAS exam. And UPSC does't require percentage of marks for any post. If you want to apply for this post so, you will have to complete your graduation after that you can apply for it.

    Friend, please note that percentage marks obtained and stream taken in 10+2 level are not taken into consideration during recruitment process. For civil service examination, no weightage or emphasis given to the academic record of 10+2 level during recruitment process. Only degree in any discipline is required for civil service examination. Also no percentage marks are required in graduation level. Only required that candidate must have completed any bachelor degree in any discipline.WISH YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE

    Well dear to apply for civil services exam marks or subjects does not have any effect.i should tell you that there is no percentage criteria in civil services exam.any graduate can apply for it without any special marks.
    Eligibility:
    <>a student should have graduation degree from any recognised university in any stream.
    <>age limit:
    General-21 to 30 years.
    Obc-21 to 33 years.
    Sc/st-21 to 35 years.

    to become an IAS officer you have to appear for Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.

    to become eligible for Civil Services exam you just need to complete your graduation in any disciple. There is no matter of how much percentage you will got in Graduation or Intermediate? So don't worry about percentage.


    Civil Services exam constitutes three parts:
    1. CSAT
    2. Mains
    3. Interview



    for appearing in exam you have to fulfill some other requirement like:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.



    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
    and you must have attained the minimum age on same date and you have not attained the upper age on similar date.

    Eligibility Criteria to Apply for UPSC Civil Service IAS Exam 2013 :

    Candidate must posses a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if candidate is pursuing final year of the degree then also he/she may apply for this exam

    Age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided as per government guidelines only for reserved category candidates which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates and relaxation in upper age for divorced, widow or separated female candidates as per government standards

    If you have above mentioned qualification then you can apply for UPSC civil service exam for IAS post

    You are asking about intermediate and there is no role of intermediate marks in IAS exam and for your support i would like to say that there is no percentage criteria required for any UPSC exams which is under the UPSC Board means it may be any exam as - Civil Service, Defense Service, Police Service, Medical Services, etc. and no percentage marks are required by any category candidate in UPSC exams so that you should forget everything and complete your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and apply for IAS exam

    If you are pursuing class 12th then you may apply for NDA - National Defense Academy exam if you have following eligibility criteria :

    Indian Army - Class 12th passed in any discipline from a recognized board or institute

    Indian Navy - Class 12th passed with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the biology or chemistry or computer science from a recognized board

    Indian Air Force - Class 12th passed with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the biology/chemistry/computer science from a recognized board

    Your age should not be less than 16.5 years and more than 19 years and not relaxation in upper age

    Dates for current NDA exam :

    Start date for online application - 22-12-2012

    Last date for online application - 21-01-2013

    Exam date for NDA Phase I - 11-08-2013

    You'll be happy to know that there is no such limit on the marks that you need to get in the intermediate.

    According to the eligibility criteria-


    1. Age Limit:-

    21-30 years as on 1/8/2013

    2. Educational Qualifications:-

    Bachelor�s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    3. No. of permissible attempts :- Four (Seven attemps of OBCs) and no limit for SCs/STs.

    So if you fulfill the above 3 criteria then you are fit for sitting for the exams!
