We are really sorry to say friend that we may not help you at all about your query means we are really unable to tell you the exact situation and cause that why the computer science subject is not available in the list of the optional subjects of UPSC board for civil service exams and the actual cause is hidden only to UPSC board and we are not authorities of that board that we will tell you the exact circumstances so that you should not worry about this and you may choose any other subject for your preparation and you may choose any two subjects from the following list :

Agriculture
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
Anthropology
Botany
Chemistry
Civil Engineering
Commerce and Accountancy
Economics
Electrical Engineering
Geography
Geology
History
Law
Management
Mathematics
Mechanical Engineering
Medical Science
Physics
Philosophy
Political Science
Psychology
Public Administration
Sociology
Statistics
Zoology

And if you are not interested to choose two subjects from this list then you may choose a literature subject with one of these subject and you may choose any one from the following literature subjects :

Hi,As far as Why there are no optional subjects related to Computers Science Engineering in the prescribed list of optional subjects is concern i would like to tell you that Computer Science Engineering are not eligible for engineering Service,So there are no optional subject related Computer Science

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Sorry my dear there are not any optional subject related to computer science in the optional subject list of UPSC. I think UPSC include most important and general subjects in it and it is not revised. So we hope that when this will be revised, optional subject related to computer science may be there because today computer science is most popular and demanded subject.

Sorry friend there is no explanation about this that why CS is not included in the list of optional subject.

I think UPSC included the most prominent subject in the list and when they will revise this list, definitely they will include the CS as optional subject.

One problem is also there if they will include this paper then they will have to conduct one extra exam paper for this subjects.
