Sorry friend there is no explanation about this that why CS is not included in the list of optional subject.

I think UPSC included the most prominent subject in the list and when they will revise this list, definitely they will include the CS as optional subject.

One problem is also there if they will include this paper then they will have to conduct one extra exam paper for this subjects.

Sorry my dear there are not any optional subject related to computer science in the optional subject list of UPSC. I think UPSC include most important and general subjects in it and it is not revised. So we hope that when this will be revised, optional subject related to computer science may be there because today computer science is most popular and demanded subject.
