custom officer eligibility criteria:-

To become a custom officer you have to give an exam conducted by the UPSC.

To give this exam you should be a bachelor degree holder with minimum 55% marks at graduation level.

You should be between 19-25 years of age.

You should have the vehicle license and ability to work flexible schedules and you have the reliable transportation.

For the written test exam its very important to know the current affairs. That is why read as many journals, magazines and newspapers possible.

To become a custom officer you will appear in Civil Service Exam which is conducted by UPSC Every year

For this you must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

Your age must be between 21-30 years

to become customs officer the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline and should clear upsc and ssc exams respectively.

age=21-30 years.

after getting selected the candidates would face the 15 months rigorous training at national academy of customs excise and narcotics in faridabad.

the members of indian customs begin their career as assistant collector and reach upto chief collector.

the exam is CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.

the civil service exam consists of 2 stages i.e

a)preliminary exam

2)civil service main exam.

the exam notification you get through the upsc official website i.e www.upsc.gov.in

To Join in custom department, you have to be apply for staff selection commission's-Combined Graduate Level examination(CGLE).This examination conducted by commission every year in the month of July/August.Being Grauation in Engineering you are eligible to apply for CGLE examination.

Age limits are:
General-18 to 27 years.
OBC-18 to 30 years.
SC/ST-18 to 32 years.

Hi Aspirant,

Friend after completion of engineering you can apply for SSC combined graduation level exam.

Through this exam you can be selected as sub inspector in custom department.

CGL exam is conducted for various post, you can also apply for other post like CBI and excise department.

SSC exam will be competitive because lots of candidates take part in this exam.

To apply for SSC CGL exam you must satisfy the eligibility conditions.

Candidates must have graduation degree in any stream from recognized university or college.

You should be in age of 18 to 27 years.

Age relaxation

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

You must be the citizen of India.


CGL exam is conducted in there three stages

Preliminary exam ( 200 marks)

Mains exam ( 400 marks)

Interview ( 100 marks)

Friend, UPSC conducts annually a examination to make recruitment in custom department. The required age limit for this exam is 19-25 years. The required minimum educational qualification for this examination is graduation in any discipline from any recognised with minimum 55 percent marks. The recruitment process consists of both preliminary and main exams. To crack the exam, candidate have to tb updated with latest curent events, current affairs of national and international level.
