    friend you didn't mention the exam name of UPSC.

    I assume your intention from civil service exam.

    in civil service exam

    preliminary

    general studies I ( GS question)

    General studies II ( Quantitative aptitude, verbal and non verbal reasoning)


    Mains exam

    general studies

    Language

    Englsh

    Essay writting

    optional subject


    so the question will come from all of the above part.

    The Civil Service Examination will consist of Two Stage

    1. Preliminary Examination (Written Test)
    2. Main Examination (Written Test and Interview)

    1. Preliminary Examination: It consists Two papers of 200 marks each time duration for each paper 2 hours.

    Syllabus:
    *Current events on national and international importance.
    *Indian and word geography
    *History of India and Indian National Moments
    *Indian polity and Governance
    *Economic and social development
    *General issue on environment ecology
    *General Science

    Paper-II
    *Comprehension
    *General Mental Ability

    If you had mentioned the test then it may are higher.
    Anyways, typically power and cognition is tested.
    generally there's a paper connected solely to arithmetic.

    The pattern of question asked is split in several components...your ability in language is checked..,in 2 various subjects there'll be direct queries on your grip toward the topic concern..in Genaral studies your information of various subjects,general awareness is asked..it embody history,geography.,general science,political science,economics.,quantitative power,reasoning....Pre test is objective sort,but mains is totally subjective sort..
    the queries are from the portion as expressed by UPSC and therefore the level are a trifle more durable than the overall test
    therefore prepare onerous and well for the test
    Basically there ar four section of the test which may return below UPSC and SSC.

    The Syllabus pattern of preliminary examination would be as under,

    Current Events
    History of India
    Indian National Movements
    Indian Polity and Governance
    Economic and Social development
    General Issues
    Comprehension
    Logical Reasoning
    Decision Making
    General Mental ability
    Problem Solving

    After clearing the preliminary examination,the candidate call for the Main examination.The main examination consist of nine papers.

    Paper 1 :- One of Indian Languages
    Paper 2 :- English
    Paper 3 :- Essay
    Paper 4 & 5 :- general Studies
    Paper 6,7,8,9 :- Any two subjects to be selected from the prescribed optional subjects.

    After clearing the preliminary examination,the candidate call for the Interview.

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
    Age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.
    Age relaxation exists as per govt rules.

    For this paper it is very important to be updated in current affairs in all fields


    For history ,economy ,politics etc you shoud read 11 and 12th books o f ncert


    for general knowledge and objective type questions refer to the book general knowledge fresher by OP khanna

    You must read competition success review issues from december to may

    just go through them try to pick as many facts as you can.

    dear upsc exams carries various question of different types that is questions from english , history,economics,general knowledge , aptitude, reasoning etc are asked and those who prepared well for the upsc exams can easily attempt all questions and can clear the exam quit easily...

    Questions are asked till the graduation level.

    But In General studies paper questions on anything under the sun could be asked.

    first of all you have to attend preliminary exam ..

    after completion of this you have attempt main exam

    then you will face interview round its most typical..

    generally in UPSC exams ...he asked the questions about

    indian history and politics

    and also current events

    and also important thing is you also concentrate on

    arithmeatic reasoning ,english

    and aptitude

    so go through in depth then you can achieve

    Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
    Current events of national and international importance
    History of India and Indian National Movement
    Indian and World Geography
    Indian Polity and Governance
    Economic and Social Development
    General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change
    General Science.


    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
    Comprehension
    Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
    Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    Decision making and problem solving
    General mental ability

    There will be both objective and descriptive questions in UPSE exam.
    One day will be for objective 2 sittings.
    next day will be for descriptive 2 sittings.

    If you had mentioned the exam then it could have been better.
    Anyways, generally aptitude and general knowledge is tested.
    Sometimes there is a paper related only to Mathematics.
    Also, sometimes a paper on the subject related to the type of job for which the exam is being conducted.

    So, please tell that regarding which exam you are asking.

    Alternatively, you can go through the advertisement of the exam published in the biweekly EMPLOYMENT NEWSPAPER or visit the UPSC website.

    Generally, Multiple Answers or Objective type questions for Preliminary Exam, They check your IQ, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Problem Solving Attitude, Numerical ability..etc. Prepare following subjects:- (1) English Grammer (2) Essay (3) General Studies (4) Be Mastered in your subjects which you opted in your Graduation.     Here are some details of the pattern of U.P.S.C. exams which would definitely help you. Firstly you have to appear in preliminary and than after you succeed another step is to appear in main and more details are as follows:
    Preliminary Paper - I

    Indian History

    General Science

    Economics

    General issues

    International importance

    Indian politics

    Current affairs questions

    Preliminary Paper - II

    Comprehension

    Basic numeracy

    General mental ability

    Analytical ability and Logical ability

    Decision making and problem Solving

    English Language and Comprehension skills

    Numerical ability

    Main examination can be divided into nine papers and let us see the Main Examination pattern :-
