Re: Can I apply for Civil Services Exam after completing Polytechnic? Sorry to say that Polytechnic candidate are not applicable for Civil Service Exam. The minimum educational qualification for civil Service Exam is graduate .Diploma degree is not equivalent to graduation degree . So after completion of Diploma degree , you will try for Graduation course. If you are in final year of graduation degree then you are eligible for Civil Service Exam . But at that time your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old . .

To apply for civil service exam, candidate should be graduate from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for civil service preliminary exam Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates Dear Polytechnic course is a diploma course which may be completed only after 12th class so that you should know that your diploma course is not completed in minimum 3 years of duration so that you are not eligible to apply for civil service exam and we are sorry to say that but you may try to get job in any other sectors as Oil and Petrol Refinery Natural Gas sector Oil and Natural Gas Corporation All the best
