Re: Is there any difference between CDS I and CDS II? Hello There is no difference between CDSE(I) and CDSE(II),both the exams are equal. It is just that CDSE is conducted twice in a year,as it is conducted twice it is called as CDSE(I) and CDSE(I) for that year. Now that is the only difference, otherwise no difference at all. As exam is conducted twice it is abbreviated as such.

Re: Is there any difference between CDS I and CDS II? In terms of exam pattern and academies there is no difference between CDS I and II. The only difference is the date and timing of the examination in the year. CDS exam is conducted two times in a year that is why it is named I and II to avoid confusion between the two exams. The examination is conducted by UPSC and you can apply for CDS I and II through the UPSC official website via online application. Graduates can apply for CDS I and II exam. So if you have Graduation and age then you can apply for CDS I and II in the same year.
